I don't know what this is but I bought six of them.

  • Will this work as a DicE interface with volvo vida 2014D on my laptop?

Serious question…. what do these offer over a $12 ELM327 OBDII adaptor and the Android Torque app?

    • +3

ELM327 or similar are generic engine data readers so they give you access to read the obd2 engine outputs including engine trouble codes.

iLink400 & iAuto700 are full systems scan tools so besides of the engine they will give you access to diagnose your ABS, transmission, SRS etc. Pretty much whatever is available on the ECU plus they have reset functions eg oil service reset, battery reset after battery replacement, epb reset etc. iLink400 on top of that has got bidirectional (programming features eg injector coding, sunroof, headlights etc). The functions are car make, model & year make dependent so better check with us on [email protected] if any particular function is required especially on older cars.

  • what does this have that a Foxwell nt650 with free updates for 3 years doesn't have for half the price?

    • Best to compare with Australian version Foxwell products like ET6440 and ET6442. The NT650 is Chinese and you can ask sellers if they provide Australian warranty, GST invoice or local support.

      • Genuine question about features, I am about to buy a scan tool. I am looking for best bang for buck like most others here.

        • +1

Totally understand. Our products come with local warranty and have vehicle compatibility to suit Australian customers. For example, the Holden coverage goes back to 1996 which is hard to find on most other scan tools on the market. Please contact our support for any further assistance or questions.

  • Not saying this isn't worth the money for most of the listed manufacturers, but for Fords (AU & US at least), free FORSCAN and tested ELM327 (see FORSCAN forums) will do everything. You can even get a free licence that will allow you to code keys (for Falcons at least).
