  • So is it the $78 in the title or the $42 in the link?

  • +3

Print quality isn't the best, but it works well with compatible toners so can be pretty cheap to run.

Also, no network connections on this model, only USB.

I have the next model up the HL-1210 which is wireless, but apart from that, pretty much the same.

    • I second this.

Got this for my mum, and she loves it.
Tiny and totally good enough for any text based use.

Shes even done pictures with it, although, black and white.

Its smaller than you think, which is the selling point.

  • $22 for a generic 1,000 pg cart.

    Bit meh.

    Anyone do better?

    • I think I paid around $7 for compatible cartridges. They work as good as the originals.

    • The generic drums are like $30 from what I seen earlier… Not bad for 10,000 pages.

  • just bought a toner and drum for 30 last week after waiting for a few weeks for a deal on a new one…aaarrgghhh

  • Pickup only?
    Delivery price is $78?

  • 72 on the website. Would buy one locally if it was the price at that store

  • usb > wireless dongle? an option ?

    • No, but some routers have USB ports.

OP, I think the suburb is called Castles Hill, not Castle Hills

    • +6

      Its actually Castle Hill.

      • +2

        no…its Hill Castles

If your doing a lot of printing it worth getting the double sided version. Also I found the $7 toners a dud and better with the $15 to $20 ones.

  • +1

Yep my $35 one is still going strong and still on the original toner πŸ˜‚

  • Same Ive never had to change toner in several years ownership with printing the odd document or airline ticket probably 10 pgs a month. but might grab one of the cheap toners people have mentioned to have ready and that way the printer wont end up in landfill just because its out of ink.

These are great disposable printers. I've bought several for my olds who use and abuse. Shame about landfill

I lm still going on original toner, put sticky tape over the sensor years ago and it’s still printing..

    • just any tape? clear or coloured electrical tape?

  • -2

Would really rather an ethernet based printer.

    • +1

This one has a plastic base, so yeah, look elsewhere.

Would be great if it's nation wide πŸ˜₯

  • Just a heads up here guys… my wife went into the local HN and asked to price match. They rang this store who admitted it was a mistake so it might not be available anymore.

    Sorry!

They did honor that price for the wife though ;)
