I had mine but returned it for a full refund. Screen resolution wasn't high enough & it had severe screen bleed.

Going to wait for Samsungs Galaxy Tab 10.1

    • I thought the bleeding issue had been fixed now… Maybe this is old stock ?

      • the bleeding issue comes from LG screens, its not whether its old stock, Apple source screens from both Samsung and LG due to high demand and it was found out LG had shittier QC.

    • Screen resolution wasn't

So true… Comparing to iPhone4's dpi, iPad's way way behind.
It won't reduce any sales but increased dpi in next iPad will make the current model become landfill so much quicker. Apple didn't do the environment any favours with this interim model.

  • Bargain?? Hardly…

according to JB it's a "HOT PRICE!"

    • Try stacking it with the Amex offer then…

JB Hifi is not in the list

Ah, thanks. Got ahead of myself. In my head I was thinking of getting Dick Smith to price match this (hence the comment about QFF points). LOL.

        • And I had a impression that JB Hifi won't accept AMEX? Correct me if they do.

        • +2

@mily: they do, but you have to pay a surcharge. Forget what the percentage is.

  • Anyone know where there's stock of iPad2 (64GB-3G) in Bris?

Well… my boss wants one, and we've tried JB, Target, BW, Apple, Myer, David Jones, Harvey Norman…. all out of stock. Most of the shops do not accept pre-order…

  • Jb hifi bourke st have stock of black wifi 16gb when I checked this morning

  • +1

I just Pre order one. The guy at the shop said the prie was $949. When I said it's $897 on the website, he quickly checked the site and said it was $949 on the web. Lucky I had my iPad and quickly show him $897.

    • So the sales person point blank lied to you? Or do we give him benefit of the doubt and assume had some old cached website…?

  • @Mily

Yes JB HiFi do accept amex 2% Surcharge tho…
(i have bartered them on price so i didn't pay extra tho ;)

    • It also depends on the diligence of the person at the counter. I've gotten away with using the old "Credit with PIN number" trick so that they think it's a Visa/MC and forget to manually add the surcharge…

      • What trick is that

        • Haha, you just hand the card over to them and say "Credit with PIN number". Half the time they just assume it's a Visa or Mastercard because most times you have to sign for an Amex. Combine with whatever other means you want, like covering the Amex logo with a finger as you hand it to them and hope they don't bother to look.

If they tell you there's a surcharge, you just go "oh whoops" and hand them another card or pay cash. Nothing risked, nothing gained.

got the price match at good guys and copped the $50 AMEX offer. And travelling overseas soon. So $450 odd….stoked.

  • how did you manage to get $450? $557-$50=$507??

    • I think the rest is duty free, as implied by the "travelling overseas soon" part of the comment.

      • GST refund, so roughly $50 back
