Amazing price for an amazing documentary, worth every penny and can't wait to see it in 4k.
This is the 2 disc 4k version.
EDIT: all stock sold but is available at this price on backorder. Delivery in 2-3 weeks.

looks like the 3rd disc has the extras
It's a shame that so many releases are different across regions. Not sure why they can't just have the one version worldwide. I like getting the complete package but I don't think it's worth the almost $20 extra in this instance.
Apparently there’s also a 4 disc version. I’m confused…
One disc.
Historical low price, I believe. Thanks OP, bought one!
Is it true 4k content or upscaled ?
Found on trusted reviews that it says most of it is filmed in 4k but some of it is upscaled.
Ok cheers mate !
It doesnt matter. It looks brilliant.
It was actually filmed in 6k and downscaled.
OMG FAKE 4K
If I can't see every carbuncle on David Attenborough's arse then no deal.
Pfft what clowns, the earth is flat.
;)
Look at teh pic on teh disc cover. Its flat! Checkmate lefties!
Thanks OP - purchased plus The Martain 4k ($13.33)
Bought one. Thanks OP!
Purchased with what I saved on the Easter eggs from Kmart :)
what's the differences between blu-ray and this one?
4K resolution, and HDR.
You need a 4K Blu-ray player to play this.
..Or Xbox one S/X
(Xbox one S is cheapest option)
Yea
Is the 4k format still on Blu-ray? What would you need to play this?
It’s a different format I believe
You’d need a 4K player or an Xbox one s/x
These don't come with access to the content in digital format do they? Never owned a Blu-ray or 4k device but maybe I need to start..
Amazing deal I paid much more for this and blue planet 4k, they are worth every penny especially if you have a good 4k tv with wcg and her, like an oled or decent 4k projector
Like almost all 4k movies, it's only 30fps
It is 4K. Bought it recently after getting an LG OLED tv and 4k player (for Dolby Vision - also have Xbox One S) and was amazed. I'd seen a lot of great nature footage on Sony display OLEDs and this got me interested. You need to make sure you're running your player off a decent 4K compliant HDMI cable though. After getting this I've gone out and bought the recent "Dynasties" release and Blue Planet II as well. Still haven't got around to Blue Planet but Dynasties also had good footage. Hard to find any documentaries in 4K outside this. There is a slimmed down version of Planet Earth II called "Earth: One Amazing Day" that was made for US audiences with limited attention spans and family viewing needs. Its only 95 minutes long and they dubbed Robert Redford over Sir David Attenborough because he has an acceptable accent (but I'd assume knows very little about the natural world)… I heard some owners of Planet Earth II went out and bought that, only to find these facts out later, so don't be duped. The only redeeming features may be that it is curiously made in Dolby Vision (slight upgrade on plain HDR), and probably nothing dies or gets injured to remove any traumatic scenes to children. These are the choices, so $11.99 is an awesome price for the best of the few 4K docos currently available. It is $25 at JBH right now and don't think this price can be beaten. My copy consists of 6 episodes spread across 2 discs, so I think that's pretty good, considering around $10 seems to be the floor for a single disc movie on the rare occasion. BTW I'm trying to acquire a copy of "Lord of War" which just came out on 4k disc apparently. I regret having seen it over a decade ago on a dodgy copy from Thailand. It's a true story that is almost larger than life and influenced a whole continent and more, with great reviews, yet it is surprisingly still unavailable on iTunes and Google Play right now.
I'd pay good money to watch this in 4K.
Also, a little something just for you.
Would love to own one, but no true 4k player on sale… And no I don't mean xbox X as a player..
There are plenty of ‘true’ 4K blu ray players on sale. The Xbox One S and X are perfectly fine for that purpose too, they just run a slightly different version of Dolby Vision, otherwise there are no issues.
The xbox one s is amazing as a 4k player. The "real" 4k players are too expensive to be worth it
When the Sony ebay store has 20% off, which is quite regularly, you can usually get a refurbished Sony UBP-X700 for around $150. Got one myself, works great
Is this streaming anywhere?
On Stan.
Netflix. In 4K but not HDR.
It's not on Netflix.
Ah, it definitely used to be
@theguyrules: Yeah, I remember it being there around Christmas but not anymore apparently.
