The site has a $10 shipping fee for purchases less than $59.95, and I couldn't find an item < $10 to add to 2 pairs of shoes to avoid the fee :/

I got some for $14 posted from COTD years ago IIRC. Both padded inserts are for a left foot. Presumably fakes then :)
Lol - who would have faked cheap Volleys "years ago". Most likely factory seconds, or just a simple mistake. What did Catch say?
(I bought shoes from The Iconic - wrong colour in right box. Complained. They sent out correct shoes in wrong box - just the boxes were swapped. Refunded, so got 2 sets of leather shoes free👍)
They've never been an expensive shoe - until current Chinese fad.
Never paid over $15 for Volleys, but stopped buying as sole & inner-sole were so thin & uncomfortable - discussed in old Deal.
The long history of cheap Volleys on OzBargain - last deal was over a year ago.
I remember these being around $15 nearly 40 years ago. The KT26's were $23 from memory.
I never had shoes that wore out, I would always out grow them, that goes for all my clothing/footwear growing up.
