Damn that's a good price. Can anyone recommend these?

    • +3

It’s $4… how could you go wrong.

I’ve tried arizona birk with the cork base homage from Kmart and thought it was ok - the base was kinda too firm - this might be a good compromise.

      They're very good, comfy too

    • +1

At $4, as long as their comfortable and work with your feet.

They're not as comfortable as EVA Arizonas. I tried these in store out of curiosity.

I also have a target pair which is narrower than real Arizonas. I wore that pair to the shops by accident once and came back with shoe bite.

    • +4

When you wear them it creates an air pocket between the sole of your foot and the insole of the shoe. Makes a nice farting noise as you walk.

Very funny, but not very funny according to my wife.

      • With Eva arizonas/ target double buckle slides, this is not an issue for me. I would guess it really depends on the shape of your foot.

I really liked your description. it looks great with socks! Finally, justice for the most underrated fashion accessory!

I bought these they are great

I’ve got a pair of Firkenstock from Bali, cost me $30, I may have gotten ripped off. I wear them heaps though. Very convenient and look slightly better than Crocs.

    • +1

Firkenhell where abouts in Bali did you buy them?

      • Seminyak

        • Plastic or the cork ones? No idea what the cork go for but plastic you can easily get for 100k… bought 5 pairs last week because I don't know when I'm going back

    • +1

Sounds about $28 too expensive for Bali prices!

    • So did I, and these are way better.

      My balibirks are rubbish.

  • Got a couple pairs a few days ago.
    Great for the beach

    • How’s the sizing? True?

      • +1

        Yep, spot on for me

  • Don’t know if I was unlucky but they have started to tear where the buckle near the big toe is. I also spent $4 pre Xmas so can’t complain, just an fyi on durability.

    • +1

Sounds like you bought them less than a year ago so they'd still be under warranty.

      • +1

Does Kmart provide a warranty? I’m not sure ACL would back you in after only spending $6.

        • +1

Yes they have to comply with Aus consumer law.

He bought them pre Xmas, so I'm assuming that's not even 2 months old.

          • +1

@WatchNerd: Shoes generally are treated as a consumable and are hard to get a warranty on.

            • +1

@Drakesy: There's still a reasonable expectation that they should last more than a few months

              • @Love a bargain: Problem is they could've been abused and it would be hard to argue fair wear and tear

                • +1

@Drakesy: Same can be said about most products.

                  • @Love a bargain: Not really. Tyres are equally hard to get a warranty for due to the conditions and what would be considered fair wear and tear.

    Looks great with socks

I didn't know you were German

  • Are the sizes US or UK?

  • I'm a tall and large fellow.

Hate thongs, but wife convinced me to try these. Super comfy for day to day use. Have grabbed a couple of extra pairs to tide me over for a few years.

  • +1

    Not really great.
Used them once and they broke.
Literally the two buckles ripped on one end. This happened on the beach walking on sand. Not a hot day and nothing special about the sand.
These are just trash hence the price and the further discount

  • +1

    What are thooooosee

  • Good slides however

The buckles don't look that sturdy
It is very irritating when it gets slightly wet. It forms a vacuum squishy feel

  • The buckle isn't really strong and doesn't fasten properly (could just be the ones I had) but they're perfectly fine for wearing around the house and garden. They broke within 9 months after wearing them every day at home. I still think it's reasonably prices for what it is.

I also have the Birkenstock version, which is noticeably more comfortable and has lasted longer (have had mine for 2 years). Though I'd probably still recommend to most people the Kmart version.

Mostly sizes 8, 9 and 10 left at Richmond, Vic. Couple of 12s. All three colours.

If anyone sees a size 7 in Victoria, please let me know.

  • Happy with my as home slippers.

Getting a bit squeaky on tiles depending on the weather.

  • now stand back while I charge my shovel

  • Those would look good on you.

    • +1

I might get a blue Skmei 1628 to go with my blue slides.

      • Should! Bargains to be had.

  • Just an FYI, I have this and if you have sweaty feet this would squeak a lot. It would be like mini fart every time you step! You will catch people's attention!

    • Just wear socks, problem solved.

      • Just wear in shower and beach then discard.
