Original PEACE 15% or 20% off Selected Sellers on eBay Deal Post

A good alternative can be Ideapad S530 for $1279, but Lenovo decided that they would change the quantity to 5 as soon as the 20% off went live

Another alternative, beside Dell and Lenovo, if you prefer a slightly larger screen

    Asus ZenBook UX430UN 14" FHD i5-8250U 8GB 512GB SSD $1,299 on coming Sunday night.

        Agreed, not really an alternative.

  • What would people go for? The Dell or the Ideapad?

I see the Idea pad has an NVidia GPU? which is a point of difference? which would be the better build quality?

    (I'm a n00b, hence the n00b questions)……

    • Depends on what you want to use it for,but is personally go with Lenovo.

    • I bought the 7300 series a year ago and the light bleed on the screen edges was terrible. Dell agreed and swapped the screen for me; three times. The new screens were all as bad, so I concluded it's a design fault and got a refund. They didn't argue at all, they agreed that each screen was bad.

I tried an XPS instead and the screen is good.

So eBay has a 20% off sale on tech but the max discount is $300, which means you only get 20% on items that cost less than $1500. Ok for this deal, but seems a bit disingenuous of eBay putting the "20% discount" banner on more expensive items when it clearly doesn't apply.

  • This may be an odd question, but does anyone with a newish Dell laptop, XPS or Inspiron, have issues with the power charger cord constantly falling out? I have an older model XPS 15 which I'm going to replace soon. The damn charger cable has been falling out by itself since the day I bought it. It is incredibly frustrating, you don't even need to move and it falls out by itself. I changed chargers and the same thing happens. I would like a new XPS but refuse to give Dell my money if they have not fixed this problem. Any Dell owners still have this happen?

    • We have 3 Dell Inspirons, ranging from about 5 years old to one bought just before Christmas. All different models. None have problems with the power cord falling out.

I bought the Dell XPS 15 9560 last year. A great computer. However, some negatives:
      - Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. Sometimes my bluetooth mouse stops connecting and I have to re-link the connection.
      - The laptop would stop charging at one point. I hear its a common issue. I opened it up, played around with the battery and thankfully it's fine now.
      - The charger light stays lit even when the laptop is off. Not a big deal but I have to turn off the power switch everytime.

Haven't experienced the charger falling out though.

      • Thanks that is good to know.

  • If I use this for video edit, Pr or AE, just normal Vlog, is this one good enough to handle?

  • is this with thunderbolt/can use usb c docking station?
how can it comapre with xps 13 for work/programming?

Any guess what the battery life would be for this one. Would be for someone coming from an old Mac air.

    • Also would like to know.
