a bit hard to compare because the Sandisk SSD Plus uses a variable bill of materials meaning that Sandisk will use whatever component is cheapest at the time to manufacture it. There are at least 2 known variants which has different types of memory controllers, one with DRAM and one without.
the BX500 is Crucials currently cheapest SSD without DRAM, so don't expect blazing fast speeds. If you just want to throw your steam library on it, it'll do fine but if performance is crucial then get the MX500 which is the competitor to the Samsung 860 Evo.
I'll prefer the last MX500 deal from Computer Alliance for $87.2. MX500 is on-par with Samsung 860 Evo while BX500 is budget oriented version.
480gb or 960gb??
Less than AUD$150 for a 960GB SSD holy crap
Where have you been hiding the last few months? Haha.
The 1TB Samsung EVO 960 was $154.20 after cashback not that long ago - Vastly superior to this drive.
Excuse me m8, that's aud$4.20 than I was willing to spend lol
But you get an extra 40GB for that $4.20 😂😂
Ignoring shipping times/warranty issues, would there be much difference between this and the Sandisk SSD Plus 480gb from Amazon US via Au which was posted for a similar price?
