We are aware that TV's have dropped in price, and that models always reduce in price as they get older. Thanks for reminding us.
yeah, then u can get this 5-10 years later on the street for free mate. be the real ozbargain, get it for free and be patient lol
I can't see how this 42 incher, which has been at $598 for the past 5 months (source: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1607096 )
can now be classified as a bargain when there are plenty of sub $500 42" full hd's out there:

What brand are they @ under $500 FULL HD LCD??… kogan, palsonic, chung ho, etc…
The build quality of the Sanyo is far better than the wheelie bin wonders.A 42" 1080p Full HD LCD TV from a very reputable company (Sanyo) for under $600 is a bargain in my book, even if it is an everyday price at Big W.
actually sanyo is now just the name, they are made by yumcha chineese companies… sanyo definatly does not mean what it used to.
its just TVs re badged.
It's certainly no Ferrero Rocher type deal ;)
Any Panasonic or Samsung plasma will blow this thing away if you're after 42 inches. Same $s.
I agree, Sanyo are basically the same as any other chinese re-badger and this price does not seem any better than similar lcds big w has offered over the last 6 months.
That deal was a year ago. The price of TVs have dropped drastically since then.
