Have been in the market for a second steamer to steam dumplings.

This is cheaper than anything I can find on Amazon and even Victoria's Basement.

Has good reviews too.

I don't know how to check price history of this item, so if there is a web site or app that does this please put it in the comments (it would be good to know for this and other items).

There is a similar one for the same price at Kmart but it has bakelite handles and IMHO isn't as good quality

    Nice find….

May I share that I use a plain dish inside a large frying pan as my steamer… I just prop the dish up with ceramic chop stick rests and use any dish that fits in the pan. Works a treat.

    • Or a wok and bamboo steamer.

      • How would you clean these?

Wok: rinse with water only, towel dry, reheat low, coat with thin layer of oil and spread with paper, let cool.

Bamboo steamer: wash in detergent if oily. Rinse. Soak in water and scrub to remove food residue. Air dry.

          • @alvian: I'm lazy with my work. Steel wool with hothot water if baked in stains then drain and spray light mist of spray can cooking oil while still wet and leave on stove to dry, no wipe or spreading oil. No rusting yet.

Not a fan of the bamboo as I found it tended to get mouldy if it didnt dry well.

Stainless goes in the dishwasher with no fuss.

I know the authentic Chinese like the Bamboo, but for mine Stainless is much easier to care for and doesnt fall apart over time either…
