The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Benefit Gala for OXFAM will be held at Palais Theatre from 7:30pm on Weds 20/3.

This is an amazing event with all of the big acts from the Comedy Festival coming together to raise money for OXFAM. This event will be shown on national TV at a later date too.

Our tickets have an RRP of $66.30 but we can offer Ozbargain hunters tickets for just $33.15.

        You have a name that's a blatant rip off of a major brand, and you make regular mistakes (as shown in this and previous "deals"). To top it off, this is a charity event where you're offering heavily reduced price tickets. Everything adds up to shoddy. Viagogo is technically a "secondary resale site" too!

    Based on reviews it sounds like Ticket Blaster is at best unethical, and at worst a scam. I’ll be avoiding this deal to play it safe.

      Every negative review complains that Ticketblaster sold tickets above face value. You barely need a pulse to know that even a nosebleed section ticket for the Comedy Gala is worth more than $33.

          Doesn't surprise me that 2 days before the show they want to sell off all remaining tickets, given that it is filmed and they will want to ensure a full house. However, oxfam/the organisers won't want to do that through Ticketek, because they might still be able to sell dress circle tickets at full price.

    Just confirming for others, my tickets were just emailed through along with the refund for $9.95 for the shipping. I ordered about 11pm last night.

        Orded 10:14PM last night, received them 10:42AM no sign or indication of the $9.95 refund (I payed through PayPal) this morning 2 x Tickets, seated together, Dress circle so up top, and I'd say from the row/number near back, but at 33 a ticket for this hard to get into event, I'm not fussed.

        Checked seats, in the middle, about two thirds from front row

    Got tickets for about six rows from the front of Dress Circle (in the corner though) and they appear to be Ticketmaster tickets, seems alright. If any issues that's what chargebacks are for. $9.95 refund received (I mentioned ozbargain in the order comments).

    So bought these tickets and got rejected at the door saying that tickets were manipulated. Don't trust ticketblaster !

      Did you ask to have them scanned off your phone? Your print out might have been bad.

      Email ticketblaster, maybe the ticket generation messed up on ticketmaster's side.

        Printed out the ticket and when box office looked at the tickets they immediately said that someone had changed them. Both tickets were apparently manipulated. I'm following up with ticket master plus the palais theatre gave me a form stating that my tickets were cancelled tickets
