I'd be steering clear of this based on the comments in this previous post

    • Yikes

    • Hmm.. it looks like the EU plugs extend from the pictures and the guy just didn't pull them out? I find it weird that no one has mentioned this in the reviews otherwise…

      • mine arrived today. The EU prongs seems short but expandable. I agree who made that comments have not tried to play around with it.

        • Thanks, that's good to know.

    • I agree that the EU or Bali prongs bit too short and definitely won’t work with some recessced ones there

      • mine arrived today. The EU prongs seems shot but expandable. One you expanded it to tfull length, it works fine.

Non complaint with AS/NZS 3112:2000 as it doesn't have AUS insulated pins.

    Typical dodgy Chinese plug adapter.

lucky i checked the comments first…. i don't mind Chinese products but just not false advertising or false claims….

  • Does this convert voltage and frequency?

  • No earth pin.

    It's $9.49 at checkout.

Word of advice to the OP, if you are selling products on Amazon that don't meet Australian standards (eg AS/NZS 3112:2000 as mentioned above), without a valid RCM in the case of declared articles (chargers for example), you are liable for a full product recall if the ACMA chooses to act, not Amazon.

This involves a minimal set of fines of around $10k for individuals and $50k for corporations; along with the full cost of recalling each and every item. It is your responsibility to get the products back from the end users in a compulsory recall; whether for safety issues or non-compliance.

As the device doesn't have insulated pins, it cannot have an RCM and is likely a prohibited item for sale within or into Australia. I hope the company you are operating from is not based in Australia or it will lead to hefty fines and issues.

  • Does anyone have adapters they recommend?
