Should have been POOR10 instead with ebay tempting us to buy frequently.

    • +1

On the contrary, I use it to hunt bargains and sell them for their normal price. Not all of us so tempted by our need for useless items, Mr Airforce.

      • +1

How do you sell them for normal price? All I get on scumtree is lowballers

        • +6

Target the females, they usually don't mind buying for higher price. Whereas men are in the constant hunt for bargains. The demographic of OzBargain users says it all!

@Mr Bargain Hunter: Have wife, can confirm.

          • @Mr Bargain Hunter: This is so true..

            @Mr Bargain Hunter:

Target the females, they usually don't mind buying for higher price.

Perhaps it's because they're using their husband's credit card? That seems to be the most logical explanation.

Same with Governments: easy to throw around money willy nilly if it's us taxpayers who are funding them.

By having these daily 10% discounts all the known jackers will increase and keep their prices up instead of changing them all the time. Kinda counterproductive for anyone after certain items.

  • +1

    At least increase the max!

    Thanks again TA :)

    • How hard is it to search eBay?

  • What is the reason for these daily eBay 10% discounts? Is this some March promotion eBay having going on?

    • No f n clue mate

    • +2

I suspect eBay are testing a new marketing approach.

      • Like offering 10% everyday?

        • Could be testing on what days they get the most/fastest responses from buyers. There are a few different things like that they might be looking at. Sure if there's a new code each day for the next couple of weeks it might be spam like others have "suggested", but I doubt that's what they'll do.

    • +3

to get sites like ozbargain and newsletters to spam ebay every day for visibility

      • +1

        Ah, so SEO then?

  • I was going to buy something from Kogan but itโ€™s more expensive on their eBay site even after the 10% coupon.

Has anyone ever bought something from eBay with a code and had them do their price beat policy, if so did it work?

    • +2

      I did.

Bought Audio Technica headphones from eBay, and then price matched with addictedtoaudio

You have do it within 48 hours. You will get a voucher for price difference+5%

Plus, you can report sellers who have same item for less on their own site. ( Although eBay won't give a sh**)

      • Do they treat the price you paid as the price before or after the % off coupon?

  • -1

What's the point?? Most stores have jacked-up prices.

    • +1

To find the deals like always

Hoping you will find some good TV deals..

We have better luck trying to find hidden treasure

    • +1

Because eBay give you 5% off the price on the website theyโ€™re matching and Iโ€™ll be spending around $130. So an extra $6.50 or more in my pocket! Thatโ€™s why!

I remember the times when I was waiting for this deal. I would have everything ready in my cart just waiting for an email.

    No need anymore.

  • Great! Missed out on the last two. Car filters ordered. Thanks!

ebay so dumb… instead of doing 4x10% off sales why not do one 40% off sale…….

    • Perfect logic.. They could have even saved 10% themselves by giving us a 30% off sale!

    • +3

They should do 400% off for 0.1 day

    • 99% off, 2 cent max discount

  • Haha right on time, no doubt in response to the shitty Sydney weather some of us are having… They should have started it 10am right around when all the rain started.

  • Dick Smith entry level Surface Laptop 2 for $1350 isnโ€™t bad. I know the original has been $999 before but this is the quad-core version.

  • +3

I don't actually mind these constant 10% sales. For used items the discount roughly makes up for the difference between eBay and Gumtree prices, but you get some consumer protections thrown in. Makes buying used a lot more palatable.

  • Why?

LOL start of year no 10% off now they are raining down every day . Hmmmmm some concerns about Amazon Ebay :)

  • Doesn't seem to work on Dan Murphy's. Errors on payment for click and collect.

  • +8

    don't forget 0% cashrewards

  • I wish there was a way to hide ebay deals of 10% and lower on homepage… I need 15% off or more to get out of bed these days :)

    • +1

The specific store 20% off usually have worse deals than the 10% sitewide's, as it all comes from eBays pocket

  • Wonder if worth while pulling the trigger on a grey import Samsung S10 plus 128 dual sim from qd_au on ebay. Heading overseas in a month. Or should I wait the next few weeks out. Just not willing to pay the price of the local 512 to get dual sim

    • How much is the grey import?

If you go to classifieds you can find people willing to buy it for you at 20% off on Samsung EPP.

Or you can buy the local version with a CC that has shopper's protection and claim any discounts later instead of waiting for them. This is how I do things now. In the end you paid the same as someone who waited for a sale, but you got to enjoy your product sooner, back when it had a higher price tag.

      • Samsung EPP has 10% off for S10 + 128 gb n itโ€™s on pre-order to ship from 4th April…

        • +1

          My EPP has 20% off.

          • @lostn: Oh sorry may be different companies EPP has different price, I thought itโ€™s same for all as AU govt is showing 10% off and itโ€™s on pre-order..

      • 1245 for dual sim 10 plus 128, Exynos chip. 1145 with the 10% discount (100 max off). Then claim trs and it comes down to 1030. 512 is 1479 with the Samsung program to get dual Sim. 1331 with trs. So still 300 more.

        • You should have preordered it and sold the Buds. They go for about $190 on ebay.

I prefer the 512GB anyway because it has that ceramic back.

But anyway, I don't think 300 is too much more to pay for local stock, 2 year wty and 512GB.

          • @lostn: I always said I would draw the line at 750. Then 850. Now 1000 lol at 1300 that's getting closer to updating my surface pro 4 to current range…

            • @Sammyboy: The bad news is that it's going to continue creeping up.

Maybe go for a mid range phone with good specs like Pocophone or OnePlus 6T? Or if you don't mind a smaller size, s10e which can be had for $839 or so from EPP. Though if you need dual sim, you'd have to get a grey import.

    • Wondering if qd_au is a genuine seller? Anyone has experience with this seller?

      • +1

They have been around a loooonnnnng time.

        • Have you bought the double sim grey import mate? I am thinking to pull the trigger too!!

      • 46,000 plus feedback, and you are wondering if they are genuine?

  • +3

missing the good old days of 20% off - seems they are gone

  • +1

I give up these deals because minimum spend just too high

Plus hardly any bargains need to nitpick the lot to find someone who didn't price jack

I think the days of using eBay are numbered

    • and the categories that are not eligible for this type of deal seem to be growing :(

    • -1

Yep, needle in a hay stack.

      Yet let's post it eveywhere
