Peroni offer

Spend $100 or more in one transaction at Coles and get Peroni 24 x 330ml for $30 at Liquorland

Offer valid from 05/05/11 to 11/05/11

Voucher expires Wed 25 May 2011

Grab voucher at coles checkout; The guy at the Coles I visited in Brisbane gave me a handful of vouchers. The voucher's don't have any barcodes or anything fancy; just a loose bit of paper.

Your checkout chick/dude will probably just give one if you ask for it without a $100 purchase.

Voucher is just a black piece of glossy paper about 80x110mm that states
"I've spent $100 at Coles during Italian Month"

I just took mine to Liquorland at Toowong; No problem whatsoever .. $30 for peroni.. current store price is $50

As pointed out here before, this is not real Peroni.
They no longer import the beer, just the label, and stick it on local brew.

To be fair, its not just Peroni

All the following beers are not "real" then …

Foster's, brews Guinness, Stella Artois, Kronenbourg and Carlsberg under licence in Australia

Lion Nathan, makes Heinken, Becks, Birra Moretti, Budweiser (US), Kirin, Amstel locally

        Correct, they're not.
Which is why I don't bother with 'imported' beers unless it's from somewhere like Dan Murphy's which has an actual IMPORTED section.

I reckon brewed locally is better! Imported beer sits on a ship for who knows how long.
Beer does not stay fresh forever.

    • Not really true. Most will be almost completely unaffected by this amount of time, some will have skunked slightly more than they otherwise would have (shit beers in clear bottles) and others will actually get better with age (expensive craft beers that use yeast and sugar in the bottle to carbonate as opposed to Co2).

  • Pretty awesome deal :)

Saw this deal, then went downstairs 10 mins later to see 3 of these coupons sitting on the bench. Cheers to Mum for doing the weekly shopping :p

Don't have to worry about trying to pricematch either hehe..

  • Come on guys, with macro lagers like this it's the label that seems to be the selling point anyway. I'm a beer aficionado and there's not a lot of difference between Peroni and Tooheys New apart from the carbonation

Hopefully Peroni use less feline urine than whats in Tooheys New.

Good deal, although I'm not much into Peroni. Good to see Coles getting into the $30 slabs ala GetWinesDirect. Hopefully theres more to come (and with better beer).
