  • What deal can you do on the NIKON Coolpix S9100?

Bing Lee say they will beat their competitor's price:

But I just asked them to match or beat the price of this TV:
    http://cheapbargains.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/samsung…

They said they don't price match CheapBargains. Why make claims you cannot honour?

    • +3

It's for marketing purposes, they're not actually serious about matching.

    • T&C's:

"Competitor must have an Australian based retail store"

    • +1

They do—online retail store. It doesn't say anything about bricks and mortar.

CheapBargains.com.au is owned by an Australian company and the site is hosted in Australia.

      • Then spend your money elsewhere. No skin off your nose - BL are the ones who lose.

Or do you have a reason you don't want to buy from CheapBargains?

In fact it is skin off my nose.

I saw the large price beat banner on their home page and stupidly thought that they may even be honest and honour their promise, so I took the time and trouble to chat to one of their representatives only to be told that in fact they don't honour their promises.

Their dishonest advertising directly affected and mislead me (and presumeably many others).

        • yeah, just buy it from cheapbargains. I think its fair b&m retailers wont price match with online only. If it carks it, good luck dealing with an online only retailer.

I think its fair b&m retailers wont price match with online only.

It's irrelevant what you think. What is relevant is that this particular retailer made a promise to beat their competitor's price which is based on information in the legal document "Terms and Conditions of Sale" which is legally binding.
