  • I really want a triple monitor mount. Can anyone vouch for this?
What desk mount system does it use.

    • +1

It states it's for clamp mount. Can also vouch for the quality of the single but not the triple sorry. Gas lifts are of good quality and don't sag at all.

      • alright. THanks. I'm really in need of a triple (or 3x1) mount(s). My desk isnt huge and I am not able to get a bigger one into my place.
So half my desk is basically monitor stands

        • +1

Just a heads up that if you're getting a triple, don't expect the monitors to always sit in a perfectly aligned position. Got a guy with a double mount at my office and he's always re-adjusting the monitor's positions because they very slowly move out of position. If that's a non-issue for you though, no worries!

          • @Demarque: Depends on how good the gas is, and how heavy the monitors are

      • I've got the triple for work. Had it about a month. Highly recommended. Good build quality. Worth it at 150 bucks. Either has desk mount or drill 8mm hole through your desk and mount. I have 3*24" dell business monitor's. Just bought 6 more of the triple mounts for work.

have to agree with orginalility here… can this actually hold weight (not trying to be a dick)
also have an acer X34, will it hold that?

    • +1

Nope to the x34. Looks like its 10-27" with 18kg total capacity.
You've also gotta butcher your desk to mount the triple one :( (Drill holes)

    • +2

The monitor mount is rated as 9kg loading, and X34/X34P weighted 6.76kg. It should hold the monitor.

Personally, I used monitor stand, (peace of mind). 😉

    • +1

I bought an X34 and discovered the stand was waaaaaaaaay to big for my desk… So I purchased this monitor stand for $49 bucks from Umart. It's not the fanciest but it holds the monitor well (just don't extend it fully or it gets a little unstable).

  • +1

Thanks to the OP for posting, however I've always considered monitor stands with this design as very limited as it's difficult to get height when you want it. That is there is a fundamental competition between height and horizontal extension with this design.

Something like this pole design is much more adaptable, as adjustment of height and horizontal extension is essentially independent. Maybe see what else is currently 20% off if interested…

EDIT: The first item for $28.30 on this sorted listing looks pretty good to me, and it will deal with both 75mm & 100mm VESA.

  • I do need this, but I just don't want to risk coming home to find my monitors shattered on the ground coz the clamp has fallen off the table..

    • I've had the dual monitor one for over a year now. It's well built, sturdy as hell, also very heavy. Trust me when I say this, as long as your desk can withstand it, you'll be fine.

      These mounts have my recommendation.

    • The good thing is that assuming your monitors are within spec and there's no modifications made to the stand then Kogan should be footing the bill for a failed product and damaged goods caused by said failed product.

      • But it won't cover if the table can't take the force of the clamped arm and snapped? 😷

        • Well that's on you to make sure your table/desk can support 21Kg or so across a 3" x 3" surface area.

    • Install it properly and use it according to its specifications and there's no risk.

    • Maybe you need to make sure you tighten the screw mounts

  • What is "Gas Spring" arm? Half arm use gas another half is spring?

    • it uses gas similar to in your office chair

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but in checkout it seems to show +$7.99 for delivery?

    • Yor're right, my oversight.

  • 11.99 shipping ?

  • I'm hoping to find a way to mount a 42 inch TV from a surface that would clamp well (TV has two mount points as it's wide). Would two of these potentially be able to hold it up? I'm trying to avoid drilling into the wall but at the same time don't want to do something dumb and have the TV smash on the ground. I'm not really needing the mount to be flexible or to move it, just to hold it up.

    • Not an expert, but I would advise against using these to mount a TV. Specifications say each arm only supports 9kg; and you probably don't want to risk something pricey like a TV on cheap mounts.

    • +1

I bought a dual gas spring a couple of years ago. Assuming it's more or less the same design, I'd say it's very unlikely that it would it would hold a 42 inch TV.

You're probably better off buying some wood from Bunnings and putting together a custom cabinet.

  • Max screen size for the triple stand? Can't see it stated. Doubt it'll hold 3 32's but I can hope lol

  • For those looking for specs on what monitors they can hold I found in the user manual for the dual, it can take 2-9kg, 17-30".

Edit: my Dell U2711 is too heavy at over 10kg
