  • Can u confirm cell type pls @clear

ur post states Li-Po yet Amazon says "Battery Type: Lithium-ion battery cells"

    • Lithium-polymer. I'll update the listing thanks.

  • +1

Note that it does not include charging cable and you will need your own 18w charger to charge the battery in 11hrs

    • +17

Have you ever known a power bank to include a charger? None of the big brands including ROMOSS do.

BlitzWolf have regular cheap USB-PD/QC3.0 chargers ;)

      • Just emphasizing that the buyer will need to invest another $20+ on a decent 18w charger and cable to get maximum benefit from this deal

        • +6

Same applies to any other power bank. However those with a USB-PD/QC3.0 phone would already have an 18W charger.

          • +2

@Clear: That's fair but worth noting regardless for any Ozbargainers that were born yesterday!

        • +3

Recent picked this up for a few bucks.

        • -2

          $20 for a cable?

          This is Ozbargain!!

(Would sound better if I was greek with a cool beard)

          • +1

@Icecold5000: Should have gone to specsavers

$20+ on a decent 18w charger and cable

            • +1

@easternculture: Fair enough although I think the rep has a point. Comparing apples with apples than with oranges is more is more informative.

      • EC is right that this power bank doesn't include a charge cable.
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91bqOw-UIS8

        • That was never up for debate. The description of the product is quite clear of that.

    • Just the charge the power bank with the mobile phone charger.

  • Does this powerbank come with a sleeve/case like some of the other Romoss ones? Thanks

    • +2

      No sorry.

  • +8

Would this be allowed on airplanes?

    • +3

In Australia under CASA regulations you need the airline's approval to carry them as they're 11Wh over the 100Wh limit.

Virgin for example simply ask that you declare them at check in, while Jetstar/Qantas require an email prior.

    • +3

      No, TSA maximum is 100Wh.

    • +1

      great question!

  • Also note, I don't believe that this will fast charge a Switch. It will stop it from depleting whilst being played afaik. I think you need 30w to charge it properly whilst being played (handheld) though I'm happy to be told I'm wrong.

    • -1

Switchchargers.com covered it here and this power bank will charge the Nintendo Switch.

      • +2

Cons: Doesn't charge Switch as fast as other USB-C PD power sources.

It basically trickle charges the switch whilst being played. It's okay but not as good as a 30w charger like Ankor or RAVpower.

        • Still fast charges ;) Though what you were originally thinking of is the docked mode which requires 45W for the best possible speed.

Downside is the Switch doesn't follow the USB-PD specifications correctly so it's all iffy.

          • @Clear: I think the switch needs 28w to charge in handheld mode properly.

            • @[Deactivated]: 39W 15V/2.6A is the fastest charge for handheld. 18W is marked as Good + ;)

  • How does this compare to the Mi Powerbank 3?

    • It's about 10Ah difference.

  • Delivery is free even without Prime because before the promo code is over $49.

    • I have Prime so I couldn't check, thanks!

  • +3

Hi Clear, any chance of a code for the 20,000mAh version?

    • +4

At this stage that one will possibly be next month.

      • Thanks … dammit I'll be overseas by then :/

    • +4

I'll be all over the 20,000 mah

      • Me too, looking forwards to that deal.

  • -1

Stock is selling fast so if you're sitting on the fence you better jump! At this rate they'll be sold out by night's end.

    • -7

Sold out. Nice try neggers I win :)

      • +4

Sorry Clear, but such behavior suits normal user posts, not for Store reps or associated with the store. You might have to be a bit neutral to all users. Your earlier comment to EA was pretty aggressive as well. Answer your side of story as a Rep without offending people IMHO.
Good to see all items got sold.

        • +2

There was nothing rude about it? It was a genuine question and everyone seemed to agree with me. Though I'll take it into consideration thanks.

My only intention was to state the fact that no other brands ship chargers with their powerbanks, however those who want to use the fast charging capabilities will already have a charger that will do it.

EC has a long history of holding a grudge against me (and others) and periodically comes in to try and discredit my deals. Sometimes deals that are weeks old will have him coming in to say bad things.

          • +1

@Clear: Brush them off, Clear. We're living in the age of delicate feelings and being offended. Whining about being offended has become a social cache - it means you're 'woke'. Nothing you said in your replies was aggressive or offensive by any normal standard of discourse. Keep doing what you're doing.

          • +1

@Clear: Thanks for taking it in consideration Clear. EC grudge might be historic on deals posted by you as a normal user. He has been salty on many occasion to me as well, but his response here was normal, but cant say about your response.

Have you ever known a power bank to include a charger?

Look it as a Associated/store rep response here in OZB and he will be stoned to death for strong attitude.
I hope you know that things are different when you are representing a store. Your reply to EC could have been:

Most of power banks do not include a charger. Not even the big brands like ROMOSS.
BlitzWolf have regular cheap USB-PD/QC3.0 chargers ;)

Again, that is what I think. You are more than welcome to stay what you are saying.

            • @EnALup: Sorry if it was perceived as being aggressive. I once said there were no power banks that could be recharged wirelessly and I was proven wrong, so if there are powerbanks coming with chargers then it's something Romoss may have to consider.

Now that I think about it… not a bad idea.

        • -1

Yea not too keen to purchase in the future based on OPs attitude

  • for Huawei users this is fast charge not super charge.

  • Does this accept parallel input recharges to increase recharge capacity?

    • No

  • I think all sold out

  • Yeh… You not allowed to bring these onto the plane… Max is 20000

  • +2

Might as well carry my car battery around with me….. 20000mah is where the sweet spots at sizewise.

    • The extra 10Ah from this deal makes this unit more convenient.

  • 30000mah mean you can't carry it on the plane, max is 20000mah.

    • Wrong. See here.

    • +1

No max is 100Wh without notification. At 3.7V cell voltage 20,000mAh is 74Wh. You use the cell voltage, not the usb output voltage of 5v/9v/12v. 27027mAh would be the maximum - but of course that is a pretty unlikely product. You could take 25/27Ah battery (there are some at 25000 on amazon).

My xiaomi 2C original version for example is 20,000mAh, 3.7V, 74Wh - printed on the back which has been useful on flights as sometiems they want to see the Wh measurement.

  • Any chance for any more for this price or too late to the party?

    • +1

Unfortunately the entire stock of 30000mAh are sold out in Australia. I'm not sure when more is coming, however there will be the 20000mAh fully stocked up by month's end.

  • Do airlines actually check powerbank capacity? I've gone onto a plane with a 20,000mAh and it's not been looked at.

    • 20000mAh is 74Wh so they won't check. If you're over 100Wh you're supposed to declare it to check in staff or contact the airline prior. Sometimes going through security they will check the Wh.

      • Im definitely keen on the 20,000mAh version

      • Any timeframe for a sale on the 20,000mAh version?

        • +1

Final shipment of stock is expected by the end of the month so I predict late March or very early April.

          • @Clear: Great. Thanks for speedy reply.

Getting tempted for the RAVPower Solar 15,000mAh but then remembered this Romoss possibly on sale soon.

            • +1

@ozhunter68: Aiming for April 5/6th or sometime around that week depending on my posting limits for the 20000mAh.

              • @Clear: Thanks for update Clear. Will it be this one with the display https://www.amazon.com.au/ROMOSS-20000mAh-Portable-External-…?

Got the RAVPower Solar anyway after reading good reviews on Amazon and come in handy for camping trips off grid.

                • +1

                  @ozhunter68: Yes that's the one

                  • @Clear: Going to love the readout for charging Amps, haven't got any powerbanks with that option yet lol. Any idea around how much it will be on sale?

                    • +1

@ozhunter68: Price hasn't been finalised but I'm pushing below $29.99.

                      • @Clear: Great. Will sell really well if under $30 especially to OzBargainers with Prime/free delivery.

                        • +1

@ozhunter68: Really looking forward to the 20000mAh version, thanks for keeping us updated!

                          • @inasero: Bought the 20,000mAh version a couple of weeks ago since I'm now in the UK for 6 months, excellent bit of kit - they checked the Wh rating at airport check-in, (they give you a resealable bag to put it in - bit too small for this power bank).

  • out of stock onw? I want to buy 1

    • Unfortunately the 30000mAh won't be restocked anytime soon - Romoss are manufacturing more as we speak.

The 20000mAh is expected next week.
