  • good deal

  • pretty good price for australia next cheapest is 693

man it really annoys me how cheap stuff is in the US though…

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PIONEER-VSX920K-HOME-THEATER-AUDIO-RE…

  • mmm nom nom nom…

  • +1

Not really a 'bargain'. JB have it for $709 at http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/hi-fi-home-audio/amps-receive….

These guys are amazing to haggle with - I got the VSX1020 a few months back for $800, down from $1200 so there is always room if you are up for it :)

    • its still over 50 bux cheaper and thats shipped!

    • Disagree. It's a bargain.

  • +4

It is NOT a saving of $452, it is a saving of $50 off your NORMAL price. Remove reference and comparison to RRP's and I will remove my neg which is so no one gets misled and thinks they are getting 10x the 'savings' that they get in reality due to your illegal price comparison.

edit: Your price 3 weeks ago was only $660. Can you explain why your "normal" price is now $697?

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:1t0bY4o…

    • Hi Lazed - I've changed the middle paragraph however the title clearly states that the normal sell price is $697 so i don't think anyone would get mislead by a supposed saving. Thanks for your feedback though, i will be sure to reference which price I'm talking about whenever writing a saving :).

edit: In regards to the previous price being $660 I've checked back with our price changes and this was an Easter special. Our normal price is still $697 which is still one of the cheaper online.

      • yeah there was a big discussion about this a few weeks ago, sellers misleading buyers about RRP. (you've atleast put in your regular price)

if anything id remove it from the title and keep it in the body.

        decent price.

        • +2

Hi wisc - Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't aware of this discussion and we definitely don't want to mislead our customers so I've taken your feedback on board and removed from the title.

        • +2

love a dealer that works with the community, thats a + from me.

will have to check you guys out when im ready to buy my AMP… want to get one with 2 HDMI outputs. (one for the projector and 1 for the TV)

      • Thanks

      • Good to see, I wasn't going to vote as a bargain until I noticed it was your actual price (not rrp) you were comparing to.

        Nice deal!

  • +1

Yeah - it really should be compared to the 'street price'

  • This item can be had for $599.95 with FREE DELIVERY (Australia wide?): http://www.simplyelectronics.net/mainproduct.php?currency=au…

    • +2

Hi trishool - I actually checked this out before we posted the bargain and contacted simply electronics. They are a grey importer and ship directly from hong kong so you don't get your manufacturers warranty.

  • Does this compare to the Denon 1611 or 1911?

    • Hi d3ft - you would be looking at a closer comparison with the avr1911 rather than the 1611 :)

  • not much of a bargain, given that they offered it for $548 a few weeks ago: http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=94092

    • Hi dragon7 - this was actually and in store special and was for one day only therefore this did not include delivery and customers had to line up to get the deal etc.

    • cant compare a price from weeks ago that isnt current. Link to a better current price or your neg means squat.

      • -1

whatever, it is a runout model, price will drop more. Those interested shall also consider the Yammy 667, also around 650 bucks and is highly reviewed on audio forums.

        • Again, that's irrelevant. This is a great buy for $647.. simple as that. It's a feature packed unit. Price will drop more?? Pfft.. do you ever buy anything at all? Or just live in fear that a particular product will be out of date a month after purchase? Silly philosophy.

  • +1

once again showing ignorance, its not ozcompare. If someone wants this item now at the best possible price, this is it. Stupid neg on your behalf ;) Prove you have a point and link to a better price then.

Not even a valid point about the price dropping. All products will drop in price at some stage, some more quickly than others…..

    • i do agree hence the + to you, however, there is the odd case when something is going to drop in the next few weeks, (eg new CPU coming out causing old stock to continue to drop) where its probably a relevant comment… not so sure if this one is due to drop more though.

  • Hi Maddie… Does this come with the Blue tooth adaptor? AS-BT100
    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/?utm_source=lhn-hardcoded&utm…

I have been looking @ a Pioneer VSX520..Should meet my needs. Any chance you can do a OzBargain Special???

      +1 ;)

    • Bluetooth adapter is nomally 120 cheapest seen is 90 and JB doesn't carry them as standard stock.

    • +3

Hi wiz187 - We do sell the blue tooth adaptor but just trying to work out with our buyer now the best price. As for the VSX520 i have some good news :)

edit: sorry, should've included the link for you too http://www.videopro.com.au/p-2313-pioneer-vsx520-av-receiver…

      • +1

Sorry, VSX920 inc BT or not.. JB is $709 inc free post and BT adaptor..

        mmmm. maddie sorry VXS520 $350 @ my locasl jb… $375 @ local HN… and $399 @ wow online…

        • Just saw jb also has $10 off if you spend $100+ and pay via paypal….
So JB, VSX920 is $699 inc free post and BT adaptor using paypal.

        • Yeah, I was kinda hoping Maddie could come down a little lower on the VSX-520!

I even got my local stingy JB down to $379…there's another one a couple of suburbs away that I might try, they've been more flexible in the past, but I'm a little short on shopping time ATM, I'd be happier to order online to be honest! ;)

I'm a bit like you wiz, my cutoff for that model is about $350! A mate's offering me his as-new VSX-519 for $250, I might end up taking that, but there's just a couple of features in the 520 I'd have liked!

        • +2

          Hi wiz187,

I hope you're sitting down! We love doing incredible deals for you, so I took your comments to our buyer once again and we've now got permission for the following deals:

          VSX520
          - Usual online price $448
          - New OzBargain Special $343
          - Use Coupon Code VPGD2313

          VSX920 + Free ASBT100 Bluetooth Adapter
          - Usual Sell price for both $804
          - New OzBargain Special $689.70
          - Use Coupon Code VPGD23232

The original deal still stands if you don't require the Bluetooth adapter. :)
I'll edit the main listing to include all of this.

          Happy Shopping!
          -Maddie

          Thanks a bunch Maddie, 1x VSX-520 just ordered! :)

[edit] That grin needs to be bigger! :D

  • I picked this unit up for 540ish at videopro at their one day sale. It's an excellent unit and work great with my Sony tv even provides passthru from Sony tv to ps3 without needing to be on

  • Rrp @ $119. Jb add says it is a Inc bonus..
    Got to add value.

  • The 520 was in jb catalog that just finished @ $378…

Thanks to linden from whirlpool - http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/696/pioneer.jpg

    A 520 receipt @ $300 - bargain…. yes it was 01/11, but others have reported the same $$$, http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1510101

    Nice work Maddie…
    + 4 effort :}

  • +1

    Done!
    1 x VSX520 on the way 2 me :}
Nice work Maddie… saved me a trip!
    NOW….
    Any deals on speakers;}

    • If Videopro doesn't have any that you like, you could try a set of these:

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SPEAKERS-NEW-CARTON-DAMAGED-ACCUSOUND…

      or their bigger 5.1 brother:

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SPEAKERS-NEW-CARTON-DAMAGED-ACCUSOUND…

A buddy of mine recently got the former set, they're absolutely brilliant IMHO. He paid $699 for them at the time & he was stoked; now they are down to $599!

I'm extremely tempted myself at that price, even though I've already spent enough this fortnight! See what Maddie comes back with first though, she's batting a thousand right now, she might just have a great deal on speakers too! ;)

      • yep… they are the 1's I have saved @ the moment on my watch list :} Dont think I need the "big bro" option, larger sub is tempting me though. I sold accusound speakers years ago when in retail, told myself then I would get some one day… They impressed me then, so thinking only better now.

Stewball, did you get a Samsung 50", if so we may just end up with the same system…lol

        not really seeing anything speaker wise on videopro that is similar.. But, yes… will give Maddie a chance… just dont keep me waiting to long:}

        • Yeah, the speaker stuff I saw on Videopro is damn nice gear; but fairly high-end, so a little too rich for my stingy blood! ;)

I'm also considering the 200w sub option, but I cherish my good relationship with my fantastic neighbours! :)

LOL, yeah great minds do think alike re: systems! ;)

No I've got a 55" LCD, which TBH has proven to be a bit of overkill. When I upgraded houses I went from a 42" coz the living room was a fair bit bigger. I also stuck with LCD coz it's quite a bright area.

I only wanted to go 46-47" but the missus coerced me into buying the 55" instead coz we got it super cheap…it's a great TV, don't get me wrong, but with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight I would've stuck to my guns on the middle of the road!

I almost cried when Eljo had their 46" 3d unit the other day for $1399, that would've been the perfect upgrade for the old 42" ATM!!! :)

    • +2

      Hi again wiz187,

I'm just waiting for confirmation for what speaker deals we can do, and I'll post here as soon as I know.

      Thanks for your patience! :)
