    • Okay the RTC seems pretty screwy on my unit, when the camera is not recording time seems to be running at 6x, so for every 1 minute that passes in real time 6 minutes pass on the internal clock. Any feedback from other people?

      • Managed to snag another camera, looks like my first one was faulty. Will be returning it for a refund.

    • Sent an email to support ([email protected]) last night, this was their response:

Tested the rear camera again today and noted it stopped recording. When I checked the SD it was full but it did not attempt to override the previous older files at it should. It just stopped recording to the card.

    • my camera review: poor quality sensor and encoder: A little over one hour on the supplied 8GB SD card. AVI file.
output data corrupted, and some players will have trouble playing it.
Does not loop , as paulj observed, making it useless for the usual purpose of a read bike cam.
Looking at the bad seal over the usb and sd ports, I question whether it is safe to use in wet weather.
Picture quality awful compared to a cheap dashcam or prepaid phone.
      Back to ALDI it goes.

  • The rear camera/light was marked down at a local Aldi to $39.95. Reviews here don't look promising… anyone else have any real world user feedback? How useful is it?

      hmm… it's cheap and cheerful.

      Pros:
      1) Records Video/Audio
      2) Can make out License Plates
      3) Only $60
      4) Probably useful when someone nearly runs you over or in an accident
      5) Red light is fairly bright
      6) Time is stuck in 2016.

      Cons:
      1) Does not loop per above - need 16gb/32gb card to make full use of battery life.
      2) Software comes with Free Virus - Get safe link from my other post.
      3) Night Time - Forget about it
      4) Early morning with the flashing red light on… has a "great" flashing red strobe effect on the videos.

do you still have yours? So far i'm just using it as a really bright light at night, and camera during the morning ride. And sadly, doesn't fit with my small saddle bag

yeh the light is fairly bright. Still got mine. Leave it running on w/e group ride in case of accidents!

@kaizen: fair point. I noticed sometimes the camera doesn't focus too well, if I'm sprinting and cars are moving fast as well. Otherwise decent usage during lower speeds and going through the horrid melbourne cbd
