I particularly like this description of the motor:

    Bogan delight!

A mate of mine has an e-bike that looks like this, but legal. People keep yelling at him to get off the bike paths :-(

Come on Michael, that looks like the dodgiest dropshipper website. At least add your ABN and address. Elwood?

Yep, no way am I giving $3500 to someone who can’t even slap a convincing website together.

    • 100% not dropshipping mate. Warehoused in Torquay in VIC. Anyone can lookup an ABN if that is important to be on a website (its on invoices) but also dont see ABN details on any of the 3 'big boys' websites?

Our bikes come from the exact same factory, moulds and workers that Ampdbros and Fatboy bikes but with some better specs and better prices.

  • BODHI Bikes aims to create the best bikes that allows for everyone to experience freedom and indipendance.

    Indi what?

    • haha.. see this is why I love OZB.. Its like getting QA's to review stuff.. :)

Some changes hadn't published and were still in draft mode

  • All bikes sold out, yeah ok

    • yes. the last shipment sold out. Next shipment is on the water as we speak with a ETA into port around 16/12

  • All BODHI Bikes come with premium Samsung batteries with the latest generation 21700 cells

Latest Generation? LiFepo4? If they were it far better marketing to say the chemical makeup.

Probably standard lithium cells not the latest generation (maybe for the individual factory)

    • I get your point. But in the ebike landscape 21700 cells are still the latest with some even still using 18650s

  • How fast can these go?

Road legal 25 km/h in Aus.. 50km/h in unlocked mode for private property use

  • $3-4k for a rear motor bike…

  • Well speced. I bought a no name "3kw" moto style 20" ebike from ebay. it couldnt get up even a mild hill. I ended up ditching the hub and going to a baofeng mid-drive 750w and a samsung battery i have replace eveything but the frame. In hindsight i should have bought something like this and gotten local warranty.

    • Yeah we have been doing higher spec'd bikes for about 4 years but it was at a price point that people would just not come too. But below Super73 :P

With the 3 main players (DiRodi, Ampd and Fatboy) they all still lack a little something. So the goal was to do the same bikes but in a spec that we know we would he happy riding everyday ourselves. With a big focus on range and brakes.

Nothing stopping you still getting one as well :)

  • 30% bigger battery?

    • most competitors have a 20Ah or less battery. Ours come standard with a 25Ah battery so its technically about 27%

Shipment has landed at port in Australia yesterday. Hoping customs and local delivery only takes a week so we can get bikes out to customers before Xmas!

      • Actually 25%

        • Well true when comparing to a 20Ah. But with others mostly ranging from 13Ah-20Ah. It's an average :)
