Good price and slightly better when you get Officeworks 2TB $89 to price beat for around $71 & OW 4TB $159
Drag and drop file saving, right out of the box
USB powered
Fast data transfer with USB 3.0 connectivity

Is USB circuit soldered on the HDD or can we remove it to use as a SATA hdd?
Is USB circuit soldered on the HDD
They normally are soldered nowadays.
Even for Seagate? It is true for most WD now, recently had a failure and couldn't recover the data
Seagate Expansion Portable drives are not soldiered. It can be fully shucked. Al though the 4TB version will come with a 15mm 2.5" hard drive inside of the enclosure. So you won't be able to use the drive from the 4TB for any gaming consoles or laptops as it would be too thick for it.
The 2TB version yeah it's a standard size 2.5" drive and would work in any laptop or gaming console.
@hollykryten: Thanks a lot mate for the detailed explanation :)
This is a price rise for the 2TB drive. The previous deal expired 2.5 hours before this post.
Is there a way to connect to these via LAN for constant backups
Ie for my laptop I don’t want to mount and dismount the backup everyday
Plug the drive into your router? If you can.
Ok thanks I’ll check that out
Another six months and we might get down to the prices we had pre "Harvey Norman Tax".
4TB I saw $140.99
