Good price for 860 EVO 1TB

FWIW I've found external SSD enclosures to be very unreliable and slow. Better off buying a portable SSD.
I'm also pretty sure that by being in an external enclosure TRIM/Garbage Collection does not occur on the drive as it would if it's directly connected to the mobo so it would degrade faster compared to a drive that was having maintenance conducted on it regularly.
Just depends on the controller in the case.
There are plenty of cheap ones now that work fine.
Bigger issue if you are smashing it is performance. USB is slow and has huge CPU overhead.
Long live Thunderbolt.
This is true, and yeah, USB is comparatively slower unfortunately.
I don't think these are compatible with my PUP
They are…
Ouch!
Wow, you're getting hammered! People really don't have much of a sense of humour on here!
Haha, puns are usually pretty popular round here too. Maybe next time.
P.s. Username doesn't check out!
Does mine?
picked one up, haven't really looked into pc since I built mine years ago, hopefully I still remember how to put it in, cheers op!
Do you think this would work in my ps4 pro?
Yes, it would work fine.
1TB model looks to be sold out now.

Was looking at this vs Samsung 970 Pro NVMe but the value just isn't there for regular use or gaming for the latter.
Thanks for letting us know. Updated deal link.
Just FYI, you can get this at MSY for a similar price if it's in store near you.
I'm not sure if their warranty is the same though.

FYI, isn't this a better deal (delivered from Centrecom) - OR is there a difference in the quality?

That is a QVO, not EVO.
From what I've heard, EVO > QVO.
Any problems with putting these in an external drive?
