1 voucher per person (# Valid for 1 eye only ) .. so your only allowed to do one eye discounted hahaha
I guess this offer works well if you're a pirate.
Many people would only need one eye done anyway so it's not as ridiculous as it might seem on the surface. I know plenty of people who are partially blind in only one eye, or near/far sighted in only one eye.
doing one eye at a time is the correct procedure. there is always the small risk that something might go wrong and you loose your sight.
personally, i'm happy with wearing a pair of $20 glasses or contacts if the situation warrants them.
Valid for 1 eye only

ONE EYE ONLY :P
I see.
best. call. ever…
i guess then they can up sell u to do the other eye at full price.
dont know how much these normally cost, if its too cost $1600 per eye, then still good value if u paying only one full price!
…
LOL at their marketing…. price for one eye (last time I checked most people have a pair of eyes)
Deceiptful advetising
Agreed.
If i got laser eye surgery, wouldn't you only do one eye at a time, so that you don't get two bum eyes if it doesn't turn out right?
Not really, I had mine done at same time. Took like 10mins.
what 10 mins? lol, thats like $9360 an hour, even at this Lasek reduced price. move over doctors! I would have thought laser eye surgery is supposed to be a big thing!
You can bet your bottom dollar that those laser machines ain't cheap to purchase and maintain to the required standard.
Next time you speak to someone who runs an eye surgery clinic (laser or otherwise) ask how much their insurance bills run at.
Valid for one eye or not - still a bargain… just needs the title cleaned up a little but still…
Would rather sell my mother and her mother before going for Dr Nick Riverias laser corrections (Yes heard his voice when I was reading the offer)
"Hold very still, I haven't done this before….oops. Hmmm, you wanted your eyebrows done, right?"
don't like the idea of ppl mass buying eye surgery…
Thats a really good price however ($780 for the 1 eye, full price for the other) - my surgery was $6000 for both eyes, not complaining however as it was money VERY well spent!!
People don't understand how important great eye sight is when you don't really have it (or i guess some others would prefer to wear glasses/contacts for the rest of their lives to not take the gamble).
the other side of the coin is that you don't know the long term affect of laser eye surgery and what the scaring may do to your vision in 20 years time…
im with jv.
while i would LOVE eye surgery, as in getting perfect, or even near perfect eyesight would be awesome. however, the gamble of having good eyesight vs blindness if something goes wrong is too big for me to play. maybe when i get really bad eyesight i would consider it. certainly not for anything that normal prescription eyewear can fix
Not sure why someone negged you for the comment but as far as I am aware there isnt enough research done for long term effects for Lasik. Although having great eyesight does sound tempting!!
Each to their own, the way technology is these days (and for the future) the advancements are endless. After researching LASIK for 3 years, i'm glad i had it done (and that was 2 1/2 yrs ago).
I have a friend that got it done 15+ years ago and she has never had any problems with it so it's something I'd definitely consider if not for the price.
Poor deal, looks like they're going to cop an eyefull
I paid $3000 per eye from a surgeon based upon reputation. No matter what the saving I think you'd be crazy to save money at the expense of using a reputable clinic. Not saying the clinic you see would be bad, but I'm skeptical if a clinic needs to use vouchers to get people in through the door
There has been other sites that has had this deal before.
Australian Institute of Eye Surgery also did this offer for like $785 for one eye.
Their voucher was for a LASIK procedure rather than a LASEK procedure. So it's a different procedure. I elaborate more on my post below.
Yes your right.
I just checked after I saw ur post and had a quick read up about the differences.
Thanks for the info.
My ouffer account disappeared after I bought the bowling coupons and I'm still waiting for the support team to reply.
Make sure you do your research properly if you are considering it. This deal is for a LASEK procedure. Most laser eye surgery is done using s LASIK procedure which is less painful and requires less healing time.
Each has its own benefits. But I think most people go with LASIK rather than LASEK unless they aren't suitable for LASIK.
Save yourself thousands and grab a magnifying glass and wait for a sunny day! Post your results here; or get someone else to post for you if it didn't go too smoothly.
I just read the descriptions of the procedures at the link and started feeling sick. Cutting the eye, flaps possibly coming adrift …… scarey stuff.
Nice. Been eyeing for a drop in price for some time now..
Here is the general ozbargain thread for laser surgery: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23310
Just buy two coupons separately or are they smart?
Good for pirates I suppose
I'd be quite happy to scrimp and save for 10 years following all relevant ozbargain leads, then with what I have saved I'd be GLAD to splash out on a reputable, non-discounting laser-performing ophthalmologist, based on pure results and reputation alone.
It's your freaking eyes, people!

eye surgery Family Guy style
can they do anything for my brown eye?
bleaching?
my bad.. I missed out the '1 coupon per person part of it'… updated now…
cheers
Surely discount medical procedures should not be in ozbargain… What's next? Dirt cheap chemo therapy through dellswarm? Half price amputation (pun intended)?
Surely I'm not the only ozbargainer baulking at the idea of being a skinflint when it comes to people shooting lasers into your eyes.
