PointHacks has teamed up with Coles Online to provide new customers the opportunity to earn 4,000 - 6,000 bonus FlyBuys points by using one of these coupons on your first transaction.

Remember, one of the best uses of flybuys points is by converting them into Velocity Points, especially during transfer bonus promotions.

Point Hacks Exclusive promo codes:

Bonus flybuys points: 4,000
Minimum spend: $200
Promo code: PH4000

Bonus flybuys points: 5,000
Minimum spend: $250
Promo code: PH5000

Bonus flybuys points: 6,000
Minimum spend: $300
Promo code: PH6000

How to take advantage of this offer:
* Signup through the PointHacks link above as a new Coles Online customer
* Link your flybuys and Coles Online accounts
* Spend at least $200 in one transaction between now and 28 February
* Enter one of the codes above at checkout

We value flybuys points at 0.5 cents each, meaning that you’re effectively getting a cashback of at least 10% on your shop.

For example, if you spend $200 in one transaction using the promo code, then you will earn 4,000 flybuys points (convertible to 1,740 Velocity Points). We put a value on them of $20.

You will also earn the regular 1 flybuys point for every $ spent at Coles (including online), giving you 200 points.

Do people actually spend $200-300 at supermarkets in one hit?

    • +16

      Single people don't. Families do.

    • +1

Possibly smaller restaurants, etc. who can get cheaper prices from Coles than from wholesalers.

    • My neighbour who I do online shopping for spends 250min a fortnight on shopping for a single person.
      It's crazy.

        How even, jesus

        • +1

Probably just buy a load of junk food,

    • +2

Yes - our family of 4 does. We grocery shop once per week and it usually costs us around $250.

      • Yeh easy, i remember as a kid, 2 boys playing sports and 2 adults, 450 a week no problem.

        • do you only buy 1/2 price stuff or everything no matter they are on special or not.

          • +1

@SnoozeAndLose: I try to buy on special and in bulk as much as possible. If we need it and it is not on special I will still buy it though. Most of our shopping is food for my husband and kids. Their stomachs seem to be bottomless pits.

            • @wizzy: Costco will save you heaps, or flemington markets

              • @SnoozeAndLose: I've never tried Costco. Is there a way to try it without paying for a full year membership (in case I don't like it)?

    • Do people actually spend $200-300

The average is probably below $200. There's no point in encouraging people to lose what they were going to lose anyway.

The marketing talks about earning money and the users act as though they're gaining money rather than losing it.

    • Should be in title…

  • Dumb question, can you signup for multiple accounts and transfer them to another account?

    • +1

I don't think you can transfer flybuys though

      • I wonder if you can transfer multiple cards to 1 velocity account

        • +2

Yes just have to remove the link to the other card first

I'm getting weekly offer of 1000 FF points for minimum $50 Coles purchase which is more manageable. Sometimes, they bump the offer to 2000 points. So I can't agree that this is a good offer.

    • I agree. I routinely get 10,000 points for $50 x 4 spend ie. 25% off.

  • love it how 6000 pts = $30 off a $300 shop which is 10% and coles make it sound like the deal of the century (no offense OP)

woolies has 10% off promos quite often

  • This isn't a very good deal at all.

Cash Reward have 10% off for New Customer all the time + another 7% cash back.

    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/coles-online

The lowest min spend for coles at the moment is $100. The discount is at the checkout so it is money straight in your pocket rather than flybuys points. The 7% cash back is just another added bonus.

You can’t convert to velocity like that. I upvoted this, but now having read it, I agree it is crap as it will stuff up your flybuys minimum spends.

  • Like Aldi says, pointless points! Lol, that ad was a first for them!
