    US $1644.10/AU $200

Did our dollar skyrocket overnight and I missed it?

    • Good news! Phone is now 90% off since this deal was listed!

      • +1

Yeah but our dollar fell back down to $0.71 USD. :(

I could have made a killing importing US goods during that short spike.

  • Interesting that the USD price from the last deal ($160 USD) is actually less than here.

Also, this item's current price is about ~$10 more than it was Nov. last year. Still good value though.

Please change the title to Redmi 5 Plus. It is not identical to Redmi Note 5 in terms of specs. Redmi Note 5 has dual cameras at the back, a newer processor, etc.

So instead of plus, this one is minus.

    • This looks right, the OP links to a 625 snapdragon version.

      • The OP has linked to the Redmi 5 Plus - SD625.

The above link is to a Redmi Note 5 - SD636.

  • Not only the specs are totally different the phone looks different too.
The Redmi note plus is an elongated redmi note 4X and same specs as the redmi note 4X

  • In the global market this is just a Redmi 5 Plus - Snapdragon 625.

The global Redmi 5 Plus was released as a "Redmi Note 5" only in India - they are the same phone, both SD625.

Everywhere else besides India the Redmi Note 5 has the Snapdragon 636.

In India the Redmi Note 5 Pro is the SD636 version.

The OP needs to be changed as this is not a Redmi Note 5 except if you are talking Indian models.

These particular things have a terrible naming convention. I bought 2 of what were described almost identically (1x64GB, 1x32GB) from an ebay deal here in different colours. the black one came as Global ROM, the blue came as China Rom. No real complaints for a cheap phone, but it is frustrating. Only really matters if I decided to change ROMs.
    No B28.

    • Xiaomi could name their phones more clearly no doubt. Each specific version has a unique code so why not use that?
As you have found, dodgy sellers take full advantage of that to con purchasers.
Some sellers do list accurately but most just don't give a damn or are vague on purpose.

  • anyone here got the Note 7? Should be pretty cheap soon right?
    Much of an upgrade?

  • i have the xiaomi note 5 and it is an awesome phone ,i've had other brand phones before and paid top dollar for them but after buying my last top of the line htc and being let down a battery that couldn't last a full day i went with a xiaomi, now i get two days no problem and it can do everything my old phone could.

  • Whats Xiaomi like? i want compact like 5inch, is it reliable brand.
