    Sold by Skyradar

    No thanks!

It looks to be still fulfilled by Amazon

      • +1

It's still stock from Skyradar. They only use the Amazon warehouse to store and have the stock sent from.

        • Ah ok, so if there’s an issue, you’ll have to deal with Skyradar

Black version sold amazon germany is cheaper

    • yes, but you have to wait for international delivery.

rather deal with amazon than a third party seller

I find Amazon Germany to Perth delivery is faster than Melbourne or Sydney to Perth.

      • I just the other day had a parcel shipped from Amazon Germany arrive before an item sent from Perth to Queensland. Both items were ordered at the same time. I'm still waiting on the item from Perth.

    • So people have no problems with buying phones from Amazon Germany? Any warranty issues should be easy to handle?
I see many good deals through Amazon Germany or UK but wasn't sure about it.

  • Is this a decent phone? I have 7a, is it worth an upgrade?
What are the negatives with the phone?
I haven't researched but interested in thoughts
    I'll start my research now

    • New phone every year?

      • +2

Not usually, but my wife's years old phone needs replacing

    • How much will you sell the 7a for if you do get this one?

      • Probably give 7a to my wife and use the 8a myself 😀 hers needs replacing and this post reminded me

        • +4

Win-win! She gets a new phone, and you get an upgrade. Guess it's time for me to find a new wife!

          • +8

@jimojr: Or trade in? Someone else gets a new wife and you get an upgrade!

            • @Masakari: Sounds risky! An upgrade might turn into a downgrade.

              • +1

@jimojr: Lose-lose! She gets a broken life, and you get a downgrade. Guess it's time for me to find a new phone!

I have one of these provided by work. Battery is trash on my one. Really wanted to like it.

      • Yeah, I agree.

Mine replaced a 3-year old Poco that ended most days on +20% battery.

I feel like I have to baby this thing to get through a day.

0aidnlike 500 for these when they first came out

    Username checks out?

  • I got the 8A $650 with the $50 voucher in JB Sale. Im happy with it. For the price hard to go wrong. It makes calls & send texts, it take good pictures and surfs net. Does all the basics well. Good enough for me.

  • I've had one for a few months - wish I bought a Samsung A55.
    Get that instead!

  • I'm finding it much slower than my pixel 6 for charging?

    • +1

It has 18W PD charging, same as the 6, but wireless is much slower. Probably good for battery life. Use USB if in a hurry.

  • +3

With the 9A only about a month away, i guess the price will drop even further.

  • +2

Ridiculous I got mine for $349 with fake trade in through JB pre order when it first came out

  • Pixel 8a is a Saint.

  • I paid less than this at launch…. My guess is similar deals will be available come 9a launch also…

  • Wait until the rock bottom clearance prices for AU stock

The 9 series Pixels are the first with a properly tuned Exynos 5400 modem and are significantly better in reception, transfer speeds, signal lock and battery life

Still behind Qualcomm but the 9a will be one of the better releases for 2025

    • Any idea of the ETA for 9a?

  • I got the Pixel 8 for like $680, is this really a deal?
