What hapens when you cross the hottest, rudest party game of the last decade with the sharpest minds that the Aussie Improv scene has to offer? You get Improv Attacks Humanity - improv for the awful.

Armed with what can be at best described as a politically incorrect card game (Cards Against Humanity) and at worse an offensively brilliant premise, the cast are truly at the whim and fancy of the audience - you dictate the show that you want to see. This is high stakes improvisation where the line will not only be walked but trampled and curb-stomped. Watch as the cast use their improvisational know-how to explore the insane propositions that the card game and audience come up with. What happens when you cross the hottest, rudest party game of the last decade with the sharpest minds that Australia's Improv scene have to offer? You get 'Improv Attacks Humanity' - improv for the awful.

Ive been to this show before! It was great. Under $20 not bad for a good night of laughs.

  • "Invalid coupon code for this event."

  • Who's in the cast?

    • I believe “Some lady” and “That guy”!

That Guy With The Thing was awesome in that other one about that stuff, fer sure!

hahah - I only ask as I might know some of the cast as well as I do the same thing in Sydney in the Comedy and Fringe Festivals. The improv community can be quite small.

Saw this last year, it wasn't that great.

    • Just curious - what didn't make it so great?

      • I thought the concept was pretty good, but the execution and presentation was haphazard and unorganised.

From memory it was performed by people who were taking an improv class (as opposed to experienced performers). I really have no issue with that, as everyone has to start somewhere, however a lot of the performance was awkward and quite unfunny. There was also repetition of some "jokes" and several of the performers appeared very uncomfortable up on stage.

I also remember the host filtering much of the CAH content. I get that some suggestions may need to be discounted for reasons of good taste, workability, suitability, etc. In this case the host took out some great suggestions and went with the shittier ones.

Left the venue feeling disappointed, but at least these guys had a go so I give them credit for that.

        • hmm; thanks for the review! There normally are training shows for new grads to perform in - I haven't seen Improv Conspiracy (which these guys are from), so can't comment. I've only shared the stage with Impro Melbourne when they were up in Sydney.

I bought the group ticket (6) which brings it down to $10.08 each, they're issued individually if anyone wants to grab a couple off me.

  • The show hasn't been performed at the Improv Conspiracy since 2016. Also since that the cast has been increasingly better trained and recast and have toured Australia wide. There are no people in the cast who are students, all the cast are made up of weekly ensemble members of "The Tickle Pit" which are an independent long-form Improv comedy company based in Melbourne. A lot of us have trained at iO (Chicago), Second City (LA), Groundlings (LA) and UCB (LA).
