  • Hmm I wonder if it’s storewide for those stores or just handpicked items on that specific link.

I thought this was a bit of a joke until recently I noticed lots of big name shops jacking even higher than the sales price. For example, my partner needed a car part and carted one from SuperCheapAuto but forgot to buy it. Day later, SCA promoted 20% off sitewide and we thought bonus. The new price with 20% off was actually MORE than the usual price as shown still in the shopping cart. Shameless greed.

Fortunately, I haven’t been stung by Jack on eBay, but it’s getting pretty in your face now. ACCC = waste of time and money.

      • I check to see if the price is still reasonable post-jack. If it is i bite, if not, just give it a miss. Ive found a few gems here and there but not many.

      • Friend of mine needed a part for their Citroen. It was cheaper to buy it from England with postage included. Shopping around pays off.

People like the idea of the ACCC. Truth is it is just part of the machine set up to feather the nests of bureaucrats and their mates in Big Gov and Big Corp.
Untilmvoters are prepared to vot in people prepared to dismantle white elephants like the ACCC or other institutions whose original purpose is long forgotten (eg The vast govt funded media comglomersges ABC, SBS, NITV and their multichannel all putting the private channels out of business) nothing will change,

There will come a time when eBay assigns the ''JackITUP'' coupon to one of it's useless sales.

    • +1

But you still upvoted this deal?

      • -1

The benefits outweigh the jacking up but Jack Jack Jack is still there.

Managed to find something that I wanna buy, but the code is not working for it.

      • Not storewide only if eligible items you will see the discounted price on the list.

  • -2

When is a % off sale not a sale…….. ask Jack.
edit.. A neg vote? Looks like someone likes fake sales? :-)

  • Doesn't appear they deliver to Melbourne?
Looking at a TV delivered and its telling me "this seller doesn't post to your location". Anyone have any idea where they do post? I've noticed they have a Melbourne Warehouse.

    • Bing Lee NSW only.

    • +1

It’s not ideal but add a Sydney address and it will work fine. My main postage address is in the ACT (I also have a rural NSW adress) but I can’t add any TV’s to my cart. This is even though there are ACT stores with stock and C&C.

Once I added a bogus Sydney address to my account I was able to add TV’s to my cart and select C&C at ACT stores. Only potential issue is that the adress on my license would be different.

  • Selected items, no deal. Was looking for air con and got denied.

  • Tablet I wanted wasn’t price jacked!! :D

  • Just bought something so guess I had to upvote despite reservations. Noticed the discount is shown in the Bing Lee-issued confirmation e-mail, so it seems stores are becoming more 'integrated' with some of these coupons (previously you'd see the discount on eBay only and the store's invoice would show the full price).

  • This laptop for $1599.20 is not too bad. Only 3 available. I have one of these never had overheating issue , but I don’t do gaming a lot. Got 60 fps with Forza motorsport 7 at FHD no issue.

    • Probably best price ever on LG B8 55". I would buy now but don't deliver to Brisbane.

  • +2

Wow, lots of items excluded too… This promo sucks.

  • I know Bing Lee is listed as one of Good Guy's price match competitors, but would they match the 20% off too?

  • +2

Didn't price jack what I wanted for once. Managed to save $999.80 :) Pretty much maximised this opportunity.
