4k and 60" for less than $900? whats the catch here? sound to good to be true?
It does seem like a compelling offer, esp. with the Amex offer. I wasn't able to find many reviews, but reading the UK63 reviews they seem alright, nothing spectacular.
Older processor, IPS LED (correct me if I'm wrong) seem to be the main "drawbacks". Seems very good value for the money. The B8 will destroy it in every category but at that price you would expect it to. If you're willing to shell out a bit extra, the 55" B8 can be had for $1800 or so (another $700 knocked off the price since last week).
I'm so glad I didn't pull the trigger on the 55" B8 with that price drop!
I have it, it's an excellent TV. Paid $995 at the Goodguys and got my $120 store credit just then for price beat.
Thanks for that, a friend got this from Goodguys on boxing day so just told him to get on this now!
I would have jumped on this if i haven't got the 60 inch sony last year
4k and 60" for less than $900?
Old model, 55" or 65" are the standard now.
but $745 and LG brand ? (i have amex offer).. oh my…
Goldstar have not historically been a premium brand.
BONUS SIDCHROME TOOLKIT …
Can I have steak knives instead? Random freebie much!
What’s the buy domain gift card from Harvey Norman? Discount?
Oh okay. Thanks. Don't have AMEX.
if purchasing, as the lg 60in is same price at HN, TGG & Domayne go instore & do some negotiating
@RogueWolf: Thanks. Struggling to decide between this and below. Thanks for the suggestion though. If I will opt for this, definitely try what you are saying.
@ashftc: no probs, that is a good deal ask on the samsung thread which is better, to get an idea what to go for
@RogueWolf: Thanks good idea. Will do
@ashftc: as you dont have the amex deal, probably better off with the samsung being $200 cheaper
Such a random bonus. Couldn’t they give another house appliance? Or LG something. Why the random tool box?
yeah pretty funny but better then nothing I guess
To repair TV :)
Damn. The LG B8 is a very good piece of kit. Was considering the 55 at $2500 but 65 for another $500. Decisions, decisions!
65in b8 $2700 + delivery if you dont need the toolbox & dont have amex
You're going above and beyond to make my day, and lighten my wallet!
I didn't look at the t&cs however this might be the toolbox you would get?

Looks like a great kit tbh having a lot of what you need.
Yeah that appears to be the $499 set. The $357 set looks like a 10 piece M/AF open spanner set plus a socket set.
The 60 inch is also on sale at betta electrical, free delivery to metro area. https://www.betta.com.au/lg-4k-uhd-smart-television-60-73092…
I have the domayne Amex offer. Deal description stated to buy domayne gift cards and them buy the TV at Harvey Norman with the gift cards, but what's the advantage of that? Why not buy it with my Amex from Domayne directly?
in melb domayne doesn't sell tv's have to go to HN, also can negotiate the price a little at HN
also no domayne nearby my place, delivery could be up to $100 but we have plenty HN therefore delivery is $30 so…. (cant pickup dont have big car)
There would be huge advantage if you have more than 1 Amex card registered with the offer. I had 4 cards, and bought 4 lots of $750 Domayne gift cards (Total $3,000) for $2,400, and paid for the 65" B8 OLED at HN online (2 weeks ago) - total $2,395 for me, which I'm happy with :-).
Which toolbox is it? Can't find one at that price on Bunnings, this is the closest one that matches the picture on the deal
https://www.bunnings.com.au/sidchrome-139-piece-tool-kit_p00…
Edit: nope, not that one. Also, I missed the post above.
Toolbox has probably never been sold anywhere at the price claimed.
Hisense 65P7 for $1595 with potentially $300 Amex credit and a '$499' Sidchrome toolkit seems pretty decent as well.
