wow, good deal!
Postage is showing $90 for me - looks like it's location dependant.
Try this for $693 with code PAPP10 on eBay app. FREE Express delivery.
Nope, postage is $114.60 on that one. Must be location dependant again.
not sure if they allow pick up. they are at 201 Woodville Rd, Villawood NSW
Wow, I haggled down to $1,200 at eofy and I thought that was good haha
At this price it's great, plus it'll be getting AirPlay 2 and iTunes support via a software update this year (not joking..)
I thought that was for the new 2019 models? but thats awesome and about time apple came to the tv manufacturers
It is about time Apple adopted standards like DLNA
I hope at that price you got the 65 inch model!
Would need to remove his/her ozb badge if it was for a 65 inch !
How tall are the legs? I have a sound base which would be too small but could stay underneath if the legs are high enough so that the lower edge of the screen does not hit it.
At peak, just over 6cm
You should be able to fit a typical soundbar underneath
How’s the subsystem (os) in this TV? Sluggish and slow to respond or fast like a new Apple device
The OS is decent for a TV. Very usable but nothing compares to the fluidity & magnitude of available apps on the Apple TV.
Is 'Apple TV' $12 per diagonal "(inch) screen size, including other features (speaker…)? Or, is it measured in $s/perception?
Now just need an OLED to come down to this price :)
Email your request to. LG
$40 postage. So tempted at this price. Plus got 10% discounted ebay gift cards as well
Thanks OP. Got 1 after you mentioned this in other jb hifi thread.
You're welcome, glad that you got one.
Thanks OP. got one. This is nearly half of what i paid for the Sony 55" 9000F, damn.
Delivery is $40 but i'm trying to get in touch with the store to see if they allow click and collect and reimburse the $40.
Please keep us posted if they allow to do so and refund. Interested in knowing.
Let me knw how u go as i might do the same. Live in driving distance to villawood
Update: Appliance Central customer service staff told me since the purchase was made via ebay, it has to be deliveried :(
Still a ripping deal for this TV Model though.
Yeah but your Sony is twice as better.
Please don't compare yours to this:P
It is not allowing me to use the coupon code POOLTIME. It says this code cant be applied to your order.
Probably your ebay account is created elsewhere (India maybe?) … there would be some references and unless the account is created locally, you can t use these codes
You likely switched to another location last time there was a US or UK based sale.
Does this have HDR? it says it on the samsung site
Yes it does.
It's awful tho. From what I've read you're better off deactivating it because when it's on the content looks very washed out.
Yep don't buy this TV if you want decent HDR.
rtings.com says: Small highlights in dark scenes are dimmed by the TV's algorithms, as shown by our 2% window test. Like with SDR, the HDR performance is worse than last year's Samsung lineup. HDR score: 5.8/10
Wow thanks OP almost bought it from jb hi fi
wowee great price
thank you, no brainer at this price
Can HN or The Good Guys price match this?
HN for sure no. To me, they should flush their price match policy in gutter as it is of no use. They won't even match JB-Hi Fi offer which is around $780. Yesterday, an Ozbargainer tried to match to which they said, we can't match because competitor price is too low to match. Why will you ask them to match if competitor price won't be lower then them?
They shouldn't be allowed to advertise a price match policy, if they are not willing to price match.
Yep I got the "it's below our cost" line a couple of times, so don't even think of them anymore.
Thats because they add cost plus staff plus warehousing plus commision plus what ever else they can
Same with myer
Here is HN's policy HN Price Match policy
Trust me, they will go outside their own policy to refuse price match.
i wish HN would die already, their policies and stores are shit.
They won't price match ebay with promo codes as both the seller and ebay take the hit
POOLTIME CODE NOT WORKING FOR ME ON CHECKOUT
"This code can't be applied to your order."
Reviews of this TV?
You mean here? http://bfy.tw/Lxzu
How wide are the legs for the stand, I don't know if this will fit on my tv unit. Unless there is another way to fit it without hanging it on the wall.
94.4cm x 26.1cm
The pooltime code is also not working for me. I go onto the listing and it says it's ended.
Choice Magazine not a big fan of the picture quality
Choice Magazine sells reviews anyways… I wouldn't worry about what Choice says.
Do you have any evidence of this?
Rtings (probably the most thorough TV reviewers online) say it has decent picture quality. Better for gaming than movies though.
listing has ended
They took it down quick.
This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.
I can imagine they'll relist it with higher price.
I had this in my cart ready to go on my lunchbreak and missed out. Damn :(
$693 - delivered

Saying listing has ended. :(
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-55-Series-7-4K-UHD-HDR-S…
shows ok on my end
Thank you this one works :) will research the seller.
@sonify: I don't think this seller participate in this POOLTIME ebay deal
@s00107546: Yeah I'm kicking myself for not pulling the trigger and buying but I wanted to research on my break before I did and missed out… fingers crossed for another deal. Didn't want to venture much further past $700 mark.
@sonify: see hamza23 post below. They relist it with lower price (damn it) at $815. Make it $652 + delivery
@s00107546: Yes $4 cheaper now.
anyone know if they will honor the orders ? I did not receive cancellation notice yet.
Now relisted here but for $680 after the 20% off code ($24 more).
How? I get $692
Unfortunately my postage was $60 but still went ahead with it. Thanks buddy! Happy with the deal :)
back to 652 now
ahhhh shall I pull the trigggerrrr???
Be quick as the new models are months away and will be stupidly priced with not much improvement:)
Thanks OP! Just bought two of these - mancave complete!
Great deal. People will struggle to get better value for money for this type of product and price.
It's a dollar cheaper if you purchase from here:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-55-Series-7-4K-UHD-HDR-S…
Works out to $691 delivered
Thanks! this is cheaper. but anybody who has tried buying from this seller, powerlandau?
They have over 53k positive reviews and 99.9 positive feedback. You should be right.
In addition to the above, this is their website. They have a physical store in Warwick Farm NSW and pretty good reviews.
Cheers OP, pulled the trigger. Upgrading from 40" non HD TV hahahaha
Any idea about the warranty? Will it be from Appliance Central or Samsung directly? 2 years is it?
states 1 year manufacturer warranty so should be from samsung direct, buy it with a Amex or 28 degrees etc card that gives you 1 year extra.
I don't have either :( Don't we get 2 years anyway as per Australian consumer law?
i think you do. i haven't tried it myself. but have seen blokes here commenting they've been covered
@mnma: The ACL isn't as simple to define 2 years for a TV, and does take into account the cost and relative quality of the unit. Eg. a $10,000 high end TV versus a cheap $99 job. But yes it is certainly reasonable to expect a TV like this to last for two years.
In other cases such as a fridge the law will also break down the expected life of different components, e.g. the motor as opposed to the seals
How's appliance central as a store in terms of services and warranties? They do not seem to be responsive with eBay messages. (days or waiting for no reply)
Google reviews are crap. Product review website, it's good.
Got a call confirming delivery for tomorrow
I also got the call for delivery tomorrow! Very thankful, my 7 year old Sony has the lines going across the screen, barely watchable. xD
Did you order today? That's so fast!
Yes
My panasonic had that under warranty . The guy took the back off and simply disconnected and reconnected the edge connectors on the panel .
Worth a try ?
Worth a try. If it works I'll be able to put the old TV in the spare room :)
Thanks a lot OP! I just couldn't resist so I pulled the trigger. Now I gotta find a buyer for my 2 month old 32" Samsung 4k monitor.
Using it as your monitor? Sweet
Using it for my Xbox One X, PS4 and Switch
this is very cheap. my 4k kogan tv is good enough for me and what i paid for it i cant complain but anyone in the market for a tv should jump on this, especially for the price.
