There's a reason why they're so heavily discounted. Hard starting, skips randomly and dries out very quick. These are all well documented issues the Parker IM range. No honest fountain pen aficionado would ever recommend this pen, not even at this price. Do yourself a favour and cancel your order now to avoid disappointment.

No they wouldn't. Just like a car aficionado wouldn't recommend as reliable vehicle something that has trouble starting, stalls intermittently and leaks fuel.
No matter how you look at it a shitbox is still a shitbox and a pen that doesn't work the way a pen is supposed to work is hardly considered a 'style'

Had no idea what ruthenium was and now I do thanks to wikipedia. A rare metal in the same family as platinum that does not tarnish unless subjected to high temperatures.
The pen also has a solid 18k gold nib ;)

I have to neg this deal because the last time I bought a pen online from Peter's of Kensington, it came used. Ordered 4 pens. 2 in reasonable shape. 1 was listed new, but was definitely a display model. 1 was literally inked. The ink had completely dried inside so I had to clean it for at least an hour. Called them, the automated messange told me to email. I emailed with no response.
How much are refills?
