Night Light Pro sounds dangerous. Such programs use screen overlays to achieve the filter effect. When combined with internet access, it makes tap-jacking possible.
This app requires both of these permissions: "draw over other apps" and "full network access". For info on how tap-jacking programs work, see https://blog.devknox.io/tapjacking-android-prevent/
From the linked article, "That’s because an active screen overlay can listen for taps and intercept any information being passed to the underlying activity, right from passwords to credit card information!".
Be suspicious of any app that wants network access, without even mentioning a valid reason to have it.
Although the screen overlay is required for such an app to function I would be hesitant to install it because of the potential for misuse.
Also note Math games kids requires location along with the permissions to then send that location somewhere and I can't see a reason why that would be needed.
I find that most of the free apps on Google Play have intrusive permissions that are not needed for the app's stated purpose. My guess is that hackers want to make money, and as it's free to put an app on Google Play, they flood it with minimal-effort apps that spy on you, or do click-fraud, or mine bitcoins.
When searching for apps, I generally find I have to go through 30 to 50 apps before I find one that has no ads and doesn't have intrusive permissions. The only "hack" that I have found, is that apps mentioning "GitHub" in the description are generally lower permissions. Use Google to search through Google Play, e.g. to find a good flashlight app, https://www.google.com.au/search?source=hp&q=site%3Aplay.goo…
Many of the apps listed are low permission, but not all. Check before installing.
Ta BA!
