Got a notification via the Play Store so I'm assuming this is available for all Google users at the moment. Not much of a mobile gamer but at $1.60 per month it's worth a play for half a year.
Some decent games available to play as part of the subscription by first looks.

Does anyone know if you cancel ahead of time (I.e. to let it run 6 months?) or need to put a reminder in 6 months.
cancellation is at the end of the monthly billing cycle.

When you fet $8/mth to spend in certain games, can you use that for in-game subscriptions?
Yeah, $50 is normal and anyone in your 'family' can use it.
The $8 on certain games can be used on anything in game. It's just a voucher that can be used ingame
Just as a heads up to others, only the family manager (person who created the family) is able to purchase it and allow anyone in the family to use it. If anyone else in the family buys the pass they won't be able to share it.
Can you buy play pass games while subscribed yet? I would want to buy a game that was on sale but couldn't.
Doesn't look like you can buy a game that's on Play Pass while you are subscribed. At least, I couldn't find an option to purchase just now.
