Looks like a generic version that isn't Wiha/Xiaomi Branded.

Note the lack of logo and the word "for" in the title.

      • +1

true :) it sat in my cart for a while, just notice that now LOL

      • Gasp! The cheeky sods! How can it be "For Xiaomi WIHA"? That makes no sense.

    • +5

I bought the same item from another seller on eBay a few weeks ago and it arrived about two days ago. It’s fake. It’s crap. It’s cheap poorly built plastic shit.

Be warned that there are fakes of this item now and they’re everywhere.

The seller offered me a 5% refund after complaining it was fake. Ha.

    • +3

Despite already being fake that's also a Chinese seller. Saving very little for buying overseas.

  • +5

Fantastic quality. They should make a set specific to watch tools!

    • +1

Yeah I really like my set. I look for things to disassemble now, just so I can use it!

  • bought one set last time. was very impressed with the quality. have to buy another set

    • +2

What would you do with another set?

If you have a pair you can start to breed your own little Wihas.

        • +1

can't wait for my first litter of PH0000 bits <3

      • spare or perhaps as a gift.

  • Got one. Now to figure out what to use them for

    • +22

      Screwing…

    • Screw you?

    • Nintendo Switch Joy-con opening!

  • +1

Very handy to have you never know when you'll need it. Good quality and it's big enough that you're less likely to misplace it.

  • Love them

  • +4

    4$ at miniso going strong.

    • +1

Bought a Wiha awhile back without knowing my wife bought one from Miniso. Quality is night and day in comparison. I rip do a lot of battery changes for my kid's toys, plus have pull apart a few mobiles and macbooks with this kit; very impressed.

    • +3

      miniso

Don't buy stuff from them, just do a google search "miniso steal design"

  • Any change getting a deal on the Xiaomi Led Lamp (https://www.shopro.com.au/smart-device-1/xiaomi-mi-led-smart…) ?

    • That's actually a good price I bought one for around $75

  • +15

    Does this hav Wifi

    • -2

Still missing band 28, no deal!

  • these sets are quite a treat to use.

  • +17

Urgh, no guest checkout. Why do companies insist on forcing account creation just to place an order? -.-

    • +4

      Stopped me from buying these.

      • +3

yeh then that just means you don't need them…..

        • Of course I don't need them but this is OzB after all.

          • +1

@crc32: then it shouldn't stop you from buying..

  • +1

Wish they had all the bits needed for iPhone 7 and up

  • also purchased. thanks man.

  • never regretted buying this ever
bought an extra set for the office also, bonus boss points +

  • Thanks OP. Don't need one but it looks very comtempo and clean. And great reviews so I couldn't resist. It can replace my IKEA one :D

  • Got one thanks

  • +1

    is it magnetic?

    • +2

Yes magnetic handle that holds bits

  • +3

I did not need a screw driver but when the OzBargain family recommends so strongly… could not resist.

  • +12

sounds alright but not to digress but wouldn't something like this from bunnings be better value?
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/trojan-60-piece-screwdriver-set_…

    • You bring up a good point actually, interested to hear peoples thoughts..

    • +5

I reckon 90% of the time these sets just sit unused, so same same really.

      • +1

10% of your time fixing things still sounds like way too long

        • I didn't word it well ha

Have nothing to back it up, but I meant 9 people out of 10 would barely use them. A conservative guess.

    • a very interesting point…
Obviously the xiaomi set looks cooler… but aside from that?

    • +3

The cheapo sets are soft as cheese

    • +1

      But that's not Xiaomi.

    • Nice. I can save not creating an account on some site I'll not use, and I get them now! win win.

They appear to be a new listing of Bunnings too.

    • Yeah I'd go for these trojan ones. Their tools have lifetime warranty.

I have a 3-piece set of Trojan insulated screwdrivers. I bought them in a pinch but didn't expect them to be very high quality due to the price. However, the Philips screwdrivers fit very snugly on all the fasteners I've come across, more snug than my Klein Tools, Stanley and Kincrome screwdrivers. It was after this that I went onto their website and saw they have lifetime warranty on all their hand tools. I don't own a lot of their tools, but their screwdrivers are pretty damn good.

      • +8

Interesting - everything I’ve bought from Bunnings that was Trojan branded has been total junk to the point I completely stay away from the brand now. Glad they can get something right!

        • +1

Wow, good to know! I thought their tools were good quality across the board. Both the insulated screwdrivers and their lifetime guarantee make me believe that. I also have one of their hammers, never disappointed.

Anyway, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

          • +2

@Leeroy Jenkins: Weird how experiences vary hey? I bought a spirit level that wasn't level (returned for a Stabila which is outstanding), and an adjustable wrench which the jaws on were so loose it was barely usable. After those I give em a pass.

PS: LEEEEEEEERRRRROOOOOOOYYYYYY MMMJEEEEEEEENNNNNKIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSS. (I always thought it sounded like he pronounced a slight "m" at the start of Jenkins).

PPS: At least I have chicken.

      • Not only are they far cheaper, you get way more options, more comfortable handles, and more torque out of the handles. Only thing you sacrifice is portability.

  • +1

really good set, impulse purchased them, hardly use screwdrivers, day they arrived my macbook hard drive died and I had a spare samsung ssd, so I used this set to get those annoying screws used on the macbook, perfect timing

    • how easy is it to do that?
i mean your mac HDD died and then you put the samsung HDD into the macbook but then what about the OS and all your previous files?

      • I created a bootable os from a USB drive and then reinstalled it to the ssd, installation of the ssd took 10 minutes super simple, as for the files I lost everything except for the important ones I had backed up to cloud as it died unexpectedly

        • next q: how do you install the Mac OS into the SDD?

          • +1

@prankster: the way I did it, I installed a bootable os on a usb, and booted from there, but I think most macs on modern software can boot from another bit where there is a recovery file installed, and you can reinstall the os on the ssd via the internet and this recovery mode, a quick youtube search and you'll find plenty of videos

            • @Blurem: thanks will note if i ever need to do this :)

  • Question to people who purchased from this place before - did they provide a tax invoice?

    • +2

They provide an “order receipt” PDF after you pay with their ABN details etc. Total on the receipt includes GST but GST isn’t specifically broken out and shown seperately.

    • +1

I got an order receipt with Shopro's ABN.
      Is that what you're after?

    • +1

      They do! Emailed the invoice.

    • Cheers for the replies - helpful to know - I'll buy two.

  • +2

Bought because of all the good comments.

  • I am looking to replace the spinning hdd with ssd and upgrade ram on my mid2012 macbook pro 13', as well as on my Toshiba and HP laptops. As per iFixit, i need the Phillips #00 screwdriver and a T6 Torx screwdriver to upgrade the macbook pro. Are these screwdriver types included in this Xiaomi set? Also I don't know which type of screwdriver will be required for Toshiba and HP, what are the chances that this set might work for them too? Thank you!

    • Phillips #00 screwdriver and a T6 Torx screwdriver

      yes they are.
the T6H in the set will work on normal T6 screws; it just has a hole in the middle

  • +4

Bought at full price from Shopro, still great value!

As a field tech who uses it everyday, I can't appreciate enough the lightweight portability and durability of this set.

It replaced my generic Bunnings set which cammed out after a couple of months, and other than light surface scratches, hasn't even begun to wear out.

My first set arrived with slight damage on the case, mentioned it to Shopro, and they sent another one out to me, no questions asked.

Now wondering if I should buy another set, just because.

    • Yes you should, just because.

      • Haha would be nice to have a backup.

  • How strong are these? I know they are cheap but I've been after a nice screw driver set. If they weren't too strong, I'd rather pay more for a better set at Bunnings or something

    • +2

IMHO, if these are the Xiaomi Wiha set, then these are better quality than any of the precision screwdriver sets you'll find at Bunnings.

In my experience, I have found that the quality screwdrivers (like Wiha), more often than not, succeed when you need to remove a screw that's ceased or hard to remove. Generally, screwdrivers of lesser quality tend to round out the more stubborn screws.

  • +2

Thank you OP, already had one but I made a pledge to buy anything under $100 that reaches 100 upvotes. This will come in handy with my $99 dollar nintendo 3ds from last week. Ozbargain for life!

  • Have been eyeing this set for a while. Good price, so I picked one up this time. I'm sure it'll live up to the praise.

  • +1

Using this one which is about $11 and going strong. https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-20-piece-precision-sc…

    • Fought a lot to not buy the Xiaomi, as I have this one too!

    • +2

I can't recommend CraftRight screwdrivers. I have two sets, one being impact screwdrivers (with a cap at the end to strike with a hammer). They are poorly machined, have rough edges, don't fit fasteners tight at all, also they wear out quick.

If you use them once a months or less, I can see them being okay, but I won't buy another CraftRight set.

    • Which seems to ALSO be the same as this one for $1 less:

      https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/gripwell-p…

I purchased this as a cheapy set in a pinch because I left my toolkit at work during leave. I wouldn't say they're fantastic but they're better than I expected for the $.

Slap a new name on it, change the colour, PROFIT! Badge engineering at its finest.

  • +1

I have absolutely no need for this and yet I bought one anyway. OzBargain has changed me…

    • +6

Please don't… I've got one of those, and the clip that hold the 2 level together is too loose. My colleagues and I have dropped all those little screwdriver bits multiple times…

    • +1

Do not get the Stanley set, biggest regret I've had in buying screwdrivers. Softest metal ever, have had the heads of some screwdrivers warp/strip because it couldn't handle normal torque. Can't use the biggers ones as levers either (e.g. Trying to get a stubborn crank off my bike) as they just bend

      Go whija, much stronger material

  • Bought… Just because!

  • Don't know why, but I bought one!

  • Sweet I am totally sick of my crappy ikea set

  • I bought one the other time around this price.

They are okay but prob hyped up cos they arr xiaomi? Comes in a fancy box

Tbh the trojan one from bunnings does the same job and is a little cheaper. So its not some bargain price.. especially if you need it soon..

  • any chance you guys will stock the wowstick ?

  • Would these work for eyeglasses screws?

    • what screws do your glasses use?

mine use ph00 and tiny hex nuts that the u2.6 bit is perfect for

  • Been resisting buying this for a while but gave in today. Thanks chibot!

Still waiting for shopro to answer a support email. Not very good after sales service so far.

  • Dang. Ordered an hour ago and already shows shipped. I wonder if that's legit.

  • (One of) the best things I've ever found on ozbargain. I'd never heard of Wiha before, and this set had saved my sanity several times in the caravan. Excellent quality, lightweight Maybe I'll get a spare.

  • Was going to get one, but I thought I check on Ebay first, and some were listed cheaper. However, this one caught my attention. Anyone knows if this is legit? Red colour

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/25-in-1-Multi-Purpose-Precision-…

    • they don't come in red

      • Thanks, are there lots of fake on Ebay?

        • +1

Discussed from the first comment in this deal that there are lots of fakes on eBay.
