sure is an immersive screen with that crappy resolution.

  • Not bad, cheapest phone with fingerprint reader ?

    Android™ 7.0 Nougat
    CPU MTK6580, Quad-Core (4 x 1.3GHz)
    16GB ROM + 2GB RAM
Supports MicroSD card up to 128GB
    BATTERY Capacity: 2460mAh

    Not sure about battery life.

    480p is ok for oldies.

    • I think these are overseas specs. Aussie version is 1gb ram.

    • Oldies … Because they can't see anyways?

      • +1

Because a higher proportion of older folks use their phone primarily to make phone calls and spend less time streaming video or playing games on small screens? Just my guess. I have no statistics to back that up.

    oh boy 3g

  • Is the Telstra deal with the google home mini still on? If so, that’s a better deal.

  • Telstra deal with Google home mini seems gone already

  • Awesome phone for the money. Perfect for a young kid or elderly. 1gb ram is a bit of a pain but for the price no complaints. I paid $59 on special at Coles.

Source: have one as a backup phone and belong mobile hack facilitator.

    • belong mobile hack facilitator.

      Remind me?

      • Plenty of hack info if you search belong posts here and whirlpool. I use this phone so my primary phone is not offline while I shuffle sim cards etc.

        • Self referral credits?

          • @Steptoe: Yep. Pay $15 for a sim. Get $20 credit and 30gb of never expire data.

    • Does the Belong SIM work on a Telstra locked phone?

      • +1

        It sure does

  • Thanks OP, but
If this is 3G only, it should be mentioned in the post IMO. As a phone it is basically for calls and internet over a tablet purchase. 4G is now.

Agreed. Even if you follow the link to the Kmart web page you won't find that information.

    There's a good review at SMH.com.au.

    • From your smh link

The 1GB of RAM onboard the 1C is barely enough to run the full version of Android

Again, the aussie model only has 1gb ram.

      • Oops.

    • +1

This is the different ( overseas ) version. For the correct specs check Telstra website

BTW how does Alcatel make a 3G phone with VoLTE feature? that's so bloody advanced technology

  • Is this handset eligible for receiving the free handset from Telstra? Effectively making it 2 phones for the price of 1.

    • That would be ridiculous. Of course it has 850MHz.
