For those wondering, JB wouldnt price match

    • What was their reason(s) for not price matching?

      • Ahh, so, having had a look, if you get the address up in google maps, it comes up with a furniture store? And there's not enough info to verify the store's legitimacy, I think it's one of those cases of "too good to be true," unfortunately!

        • Lol…their business address comes up as "No Limits Removalists" on Google search.

          Hi There,

Double story warehouse , shared space

  • +2

Imagine being the one guy who pays full retail price for one of these.

    • +3

Well, corporates/government do because no one cares about what's paid.

Also of the suppliers' interest to inflate the advertised cost.

      • Thats exactly how they spend our money

  • Rep, are they AU stock? Ta

  • AU Stock could mean it is in stock locally unless OP wants to clear up if this is Australian model with Australian warranty.

    • +7

      Australian model with Australian warranty

  • $1459 + 30 non-trade in fee for the same on EPP/GOV/EDU with BOOST100 applied

    • Edu price is $1,719.20. How do you get to $1,459. Boost100 only seems to be applied if using trade-in.

      • do you have the 256gb selected? its just a $1 trade in + BOOST100

  • Officeworks wil price beat this FYI, huge discount

    • Because they don't have an inflated RRP.

Nice home business. Or they actually create this website so people can go PM at OW?!

      • +2

Online business, check ebay reviews and previous selling all happy.

      • Best is to PM at JB Hi-fi using the Telstra deal.

        • -1

          JB wouldn't price match it

  • +9

Don't think it's fair to be using price matching against these smaller retailers. Let's support local businesses.

    • +1

I wouldn't bother price matching at OW if that's what I am paying. Would rather spend with a small shop.

BUT, if JB price matches and add the Telstra deal, then, I will go JB. Probably below JB's cost (actual cost included rebate from Samsung, not the BS "cost" that the salesperson can see on their screen) for the device.

Except I don't trust these home run businesses with warranty tho

      • They're not an authorised Samsung reseller.

        • +1

Yeh hence for same price why wouldn't I price match at reputable brick mortar store? If it's like $50 then yeh I'd risk it supporting local small business but a $1k plus purchase… Nah

          • @Jaduqimon: absolutely, and its not like you are supporting the whole chain of employees that make a locals store products and locally sourced materials. You are just essentially buying a dropshipped product with an inflated margin. If everyone had a mindset like duece I am about to start a dropshipping business

  • This or a OnePlus 13?

    • +3

assuming competitive pricing - this, better software and longer support. plus you get a pen

I'm actually leaning towards the Oppo X8 Pro over the 25 Ultra. I used to be a real Samsung fanboy, but my last couple phones have been very disappointing in terms of reliability and camera.

      • I should have gotten it when it was 1699 with the free tablet via redemption… There is the x8 ultra coming soon so maybe a price drop on the pro

  • +1

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's S Pen does not have Bluetooth capabilities, unlike the previous gen.

    • +1

Feature that I never used after I was so excited to test it

      • +3

Had the S23U for 2 years, and just realised i could take selfies with the S Pen. At least i found out, albeit a little late

        • +2

Holy crap, I didn't even know that! And I've had my S23U ever since launch. I've been setting a timer and running :(
          Thanks for the info!
