Save up to $129 with Intel 8th gen NUC and Asus monitor.
Sold as barebone, you will need to add memory (so-dimm) and ssd/hdd.
Sweet spot may be the core i5 $749 version: 4 core 4 thread super compact machine.

It's RTX 2080 posts like this that makes the Techfast deals look like the bargain of the century.

Makes this look like a joke tbh.
Comparing a Galax to a ROG strix is like comparing Tata (yes that bad, not even a Kia!) to Mercedes!
Plus they use horrible PSUs, generally generic biostar motherboards and all round cheap parts. Better off buying an older Machine than a fire starter…
Did you buy into one of those deals? I did and I got a MSI Trio Gaming X for the 2080. Plus a Thermaltake 750W PSU. Originally the deal was the cheaper Galax and lower tiered PSUs but Techfast have basically upgraded all these specs since the prices have dropped (or so they told me).
Here's a bit of proof:

The MSI Trio 2080 sells for $1399 alone from MSY.
@bchliu: The Techfast deal is DIY assembly? I did not see this mentioned anywhere.
@alvian: I requested DIY to speed up the process since I use to build computers many lifetimes ago and wanted to do something over the Christmas break. Not to mention I wanted to add my own parts on top of standard build (10TB HDD, 480GB M.2 SSD).
The i5 8259U is 4 core / 8 thread like the i7.
Which means it's on par with the i7 other than lower clock speed and slightly less cache. Given the 8th gen U CPUs are power limited anyway, the i5 likely performs identically to the i7 under a throttled speed during sustained loads.
