Normally ~$1100 for an RTX 2080, so the rest of a Ryzen PC for only $200 is pretty damned good!

    • +1

Verh impressive, specifically when you consider that $200 is made up by the CPU.

Case, RAM, fans and SSD are stuff people getting this unbuilt would want to use as well.

Besides that, PSU is…not something I'd trust, and the Mobo is a320. Both'll be fine, but for a card and CPU this nice ultimately you'd want to switch them.

*And BF5 apparently… though how much you'd want to price that at with EA's nonsense if up to you.

  • +2

wait.. that's a price for the 2080 by it self? HOWWW

    • I think it's the cheapest so far, past deals have been going for around 1.3k

  • why is it so cheap? are rest of the parts made from junk?

    • +2

      junk that works absolutely fine

      • For how long though

        • 1 year warranty.

you can swap the PSU & SSD anytime for 100 bux with change.

          remaining parts are reputably branded.

          • @dcep: i got the rx580 with the 8gb ram and the 120ssd and the 2600 ryzen
i swapped the 120gb ssd to 500gb ssd and you need to either have ethernet cable or buy a 19 dollar pci card router. also the motherboardi got was asus, ram chinese, but seems known like when i search it comes up on google, so does the psu, goes for 50 bucks online

        • +1

Work colleague bought one of the 2080 bundles a month ago. Finally arrived yesterday and the power supply failed after about an hour. The power supply is junk and should be replaced asap

          • +1

@jnewau: mine has been working just fine, had it for 1 month now

          • @jnewau: Just curious, but what was the branding?

Mine's the allied one and has been working fine…. although I've also got a 570, so obviously draws a fair bit less.

    looking at the details:
    - A small size PC with a mini motherboard (may impact future upgrades) ~$90
    - 1 case fan for cooling
    - Case Leaper pro ~$??
    - 1 Ram stick (TeamGroup?) ~$100
    - RTX2080 (galax, biostart, asus , msi) ~$1.1k cheapest
    - Ryzen 5 2600 ~$260
    - No Windows
    - 120GB SSD (WD, sandisk) ~$40
    - No HDD
    - BF:V ~$60 (sometimes you can get AAA games from hardware/GPU bundles too)

    = $1590 + $60 game
    List Price is $1599

So you save 20% with ebay deal

    • BFV is included with all RTX GPUS.

    • Yeah the rtx really increases the price. Personally I value it around the same as the gtx 1080ti but I know there are some technological differences.

Looking at it from a used Gumtree perspective it is quite still expensive even with postage costs included for each individual part but it is really hard to find cheaper for the rtx which makes it a good price but still over priced for me.

Have easily seen the 1080ti priced at $800 on the second hand market a few times so that is the value for the rtx 2080 for me because the extra features would honestly do nothing for me but there is future improvements but if that were the case I would just wait for them to be more tangible then before buying (also depreciation).

OK investment ok bargain definitely not best bang for buck but getting there.

Just received mine yesterday ordered on 22 November. GPU Sag a bit the brace from MSI not helping. Haven't tried turning it on still waiting for 15% ebay discount.

      Interior: https://imgur.com/a/9Q5AvB1

      Motherboard: ASUS Prime A320M
      GPU: MSI Duke RTX 2080
      PSU: Aywun 700w
      RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR4 2400
      SSD: Allied 120GB

      • Oh lucky you getting an MSI one with 3 fans!

      • yea you can see all the money went into that GPU. the powersupply looks a bit concerning haha

        • +1

The power supply is certainly the only main concerning part but this is the case i hear with even big company like dell and such with their own Power supply's. Most prebuilts seems to go that same route.

      • +2

        oml lucky af
        btw Thanks for the photos

      • Definitely a win with the MSI and the ram, I got a dual fan galax and crucial ram

        • Which system did you buy? i got the same setup in terms of ram, did you get the ryzen or i7 version or i5?

          • +1

      • +1

I'll chime in my spec I received last week as well.

        Motherboard: ASUS Prime A320M
GPU: Galax RTX 2080 dual fan. This is fine, My previous GPU was galaxy gtx460
PSU: thermaltake litepower 750w (I choose to upgrade this part for $75 , It's not top brand but i'll take this over allied PSU. All in all pretty worth it as I won't void warranty )
RAM: teamgroup 8GB. This is fine, RAM is generally hard to fail.
SSD: Allied 250GB . Windows 10-preinstalled , activation invalid what whatever I'm doing a clean format either way

All in all, I'm super happy with my brand-name lotto draw. (Mobo,GPU,PSU)

P.S., The back chassis fan is super loud in default DC setting always spinning at ~2500rpm. You should probably tune it down to to PWM normal fan speed in bios setting so it sits at around 1100rpm on idle load.

P.S2. I'm not sure if this applys to all brand but Galax RTX2080 fan will stop spinning on idle temp until around 60c when It'll start to spin again. Some might like this , and some won't.

        • May I ask you to get some picture of the Graphic card? I'm using tempered glass Case so I want to see how the side of Graphic card looks like. Hopefully there is nice LED :)

          thanks

          • @Jeromeee: Sure but I got night shift today so will be at home around 10pm

        • On the fan note, the basic a320 boards appear to only support a single chassis fan. That'll mean a second fan will go screw you speeds.

For anyone wanting to tone down the chassis fan that is connected, go into the Bios and chance the cha fan to silent mode (ASUS boards, no idea how it's worded elsewhere).

Alternatively, you can play around or have the board work out the "optimal speeds" itself.

I've yet to hear anything from the CPU fan, even when setting it to turbo, so don't be to reserved there (this is the 2200g stock fan btw)

      • Psu is a real concern otherwise not bad at all.

      • Get a new PSU ASAP!!!!!!!!

      • what can you do with the GPU sag? From your pic it looks worrying.

        • Not really. The big cards are atrocious for sag, but as per YT there doesn't seem to be a danger of damage. Just cosmetic.

  • +7

Arrr. I hate ozbargain. Bought this system for $1400 a month ago with no battlefield V and I thought it was a bargain!
I'm going to go home tonight and sulk while playing battlefied 1.

    • +1

So did i, but we got it much sooner so worth :)

      • Only got mine last week so not that much sooner haha

    • I hope you at least bought BF1 for $6

    • ahhaa, yeah man. I canceled my order when i saw the 5% off gift card thing but missed the reorder cos gift cards are slowwwww to come

    • I have a feeling this will be $1000 this time next year which is a huge saving if you think about it compared to other tech hardware.

      • Hopefully, i mean there are still people selling 1080ti for well over 900 dollars second hand

        • There will always be those people. I managed to sell many tech items at full priced most if not all in used or near new condition. None broken of course.

        • I picked up a used non-blower 1080ti for 720.

      • +2

Why wait a whole year to save $279?

        • Ikr, like there are people that have been waitin for this release for more then 2 years already

        • +1

Why wait for anything? Bad timing? No money? Etc.

Well for me personally I was not able to fully utilize a gaming computer until this year yet I had been researching it in and out for many years beforehand. So the smart choice was to wait until I could foresee some free time and also free energy to use one and save thousands of dollars and money spent on old tech in the meantime.

Basically if you can wait it is always better to do so with anything gaming or tech related unless you are hungry for it right now.

Same rules apply to buying games. Just wait because unless it is something you want to experience from day one stuff gets discounted a lot cheaper by just waiting it out and the kinks and bugs get worked out also so it is a win win situation.

          • +1

@AlienC: Well this was my first PC i bought, and so i wouldn't wait an whole year if i had none to begin with! I assume most people that buy prebuilts are first time Gaming PC buyers otherwise they would just build it themselves i think. But yeh waiting always has its advantages i agree especially for games!

            • @firsttimeuser7: Definitely just having my say now that I have purchased my regret haha :p lol jks

  • Good video card + dim sum parts for the rest. No thanks.

    • +2

This is great if you were going to buy an RTX card and then you basically get a free computer = 2 free computers either way when upgrading! One for you and another for family member or friend etc.

      • Very good idea and thinking!

      • But you don't know the exact GPU you're getting, do you? I'm tempted by this.

        • +1

When i bought mine they were all confirmed to be Galax Dual Fan but i assume low stock now and so this is what you can get i assume with these new deals. I assume all RTX are still all Dual fan at least. If lucky with MSI you can get the Duke variant with three fans as seen by someone receiving that in upper comments ^
Graphics Card: Galax, Biostar, ASUS, MSI, Colorful - all used as often as each other
Getting any of these is a win but getting an Asus or MSI is an extra win and even Galax has been great for me! The other two i dont know about but i think still are great for the performance they give!

      • Actually yeah that is a great idea.

I imagine if you tried to sell this individually you could try and make a profit but personally for me that would take way too much effort and time and not be worth it. But another budding entrepreneur maybe a lot younger and more time and energy could easily do it.

    • +1

Yeah, but the parts work and you're more or less getting them for free. Even if you salvage the GPU to put in a main rig; this would be a great HTPC with a RX 550/560 or GTX 1050 in it.

    • Just go & pay $2000 for your abalone parts while performing the same.

      • I only buy hyperbole parts

    • I got mine in first week of December, Was a Galax Card and crucial Ram. took the Graphics card for my PC build bought a RX 580 (from discount at 206 Dollars) put it in and Gave it to my nephew he was very happy :) so its a pretty good deal I guess

  • RTX 2080: $1000
    120GB SSD: $30
    Case + 550W PSU combo $65
    Motherboard: A320 Motherboard $60
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 $200
    Memory: 8GB DDR4 RAM (1 x 8GB) $75
    Total: ~$1430

(Note these systems take 2-4 weeks to ship apparently, as such I've included expected price drops here)

    • i did not see any drop from the last deal, only thing that changed was the ebay site discount

      • I'm not sure if you've misunderstood my comment or not… I'm simply listing an estimation of what the parts will cost at the time you receive the system. For example, you could:
A: Buy this system and receive it in 4-6 weeks
B: Wait 4 weeks, buy the parts yourself and build the system.

As such my estimation is what the parts will cost in ~4 weeks.

        If you'd like further details:
RTX 2080: The hype is dying down, an expectation of a further ~$50 discount isn't much. I would predict a deal close to the $1000 mark early in the new year.
SSD: SSD pricing is already ~$39 for 240GB branded… 120GB deals already should be <$30, it's just a process of waiting for such a deal to appear.
Ryzen 2600: They've been this low before, I'd expect it'll hit the mark again soon.
RAM: Memory prices are slowly falling. Maybe $80-85 is more reasonable.

  • Plus $149 for Windows Home - unless you are able to transfer over from an old PC you are junking. Aside from the GPU (depending on brand) and CPU can’t get excited about the quality of what you are getting here.

You might also want to factor in another $120 for a bigger SSD (Samsung 500GB) for other storage. Can’t say I’ve heard of the Allied brand SSD.

Then maybe a better power supply that you can recycle into your next PC. And better (ball bearing) quieter fans and/or CPU cooling that you can also use when you upgrade. I have fans and power supply on their 3rd PC and a PC fan that’s been cooling my TV video set-up for nearly 10 years.

  • It's a good deal if you're not as paranoid as me.

I would rather spend more to be able to go to a local shop should any parts have issues. $1280 for a decent GPU with low-end parts isn't worth it for me. If it were a guaranteed reputable brand GPU, it's a no-brainer.

Would hate to wait 4 weeks for delivery, as well.

    • Ebay plus free returns if u get rubbish GPU

  • Better off with the Intel option for gaming. Bargain!

  • What sort of game can this rig run that the GTX1060 can't I wonder?
    I'm noob to pc gaming.

    • Higher resolutions (ie 4K) and higher frame rates (ie 120hz/144hz+ monitors). For 1080p60 a GTX1060 will do perfectly fine for most.

      • Ic, thanks.
        I don't think I can experience much benefit on 4k. Even though I have a 4k monitor.

  • Swap GPU with Vega64,1tb SSD and add 8gb ram and ill take it!

  • +2

Bought this system early last month, delivered couple weeks ago, wasnt going to use it until i bought new parts for it, but ended up swapping my hdd and ssd from my old pc to this one, everything booted up perfectly normal with windows activated on my microsoft account, then put ssd from this pc into my old one with a spare 2.5 hdd i had lying around, old pc booted up perfectly fine with windows somehow activated on my old pc aswell, even though the ssd supplied with this build is unnactivated i guess my licence key was connected with the hardware on my old pc, im going to be buying all new parts apart from gpu and cpu, then sell remaining parts on ebay or something, but it runs great out of the box, i got a galax dual fan gpu with mine which was worth alone for price, psu hasnt blown up yet which was main concern, case came with 1 rear fan and one top fan, temps seem normal even with no intake fans at the front, honsestly would reccomend, and i bought for 1400, so this price is pretty ridiculous, if you do buy i would definitely plan to upgrade the basic parts in the near future, mainly psu rest of the parts will be fine for a while, but this pc is perfect for someone who doesnt want to splash out bulk money for a new pc in one hit, but rather spend a fraction for basically the main components with the rest temporary, my ramble for the year..

'Most difficult post to read' of the year.

      • +4

Was just trying to give some helpful info to anyone interesred in buying, sorry if anyone found my rushed mobile typing hard to understand :(

  • I have a 1440p monitor, 60Hz, and want to play GTA V, Battlefield V (and 1 and 4) on very decent settings, hoping for at least 50FPS… not really interested in higher FPS as I have never experienced anything more than a PS4 Pro can do.

How would a 1060 fair? Am I better off with a 2070 considering I'd like to turn the graphics up to Ultra?

  • who would like to take the Graphics Card???
I will keep the rest of hardware. I dont need this Graphics Card.

    any one ?

contact me and we make a deal !

    • whh dont you just buy one of the cheaper bundles

  • Item has been relisted with working promo code and same price.

  • Im pretty tempted to buy this, swap my 1070 with the 2080 then sell this for ~1k. Very tempted….

  • thnk this is expired now… :(

  • Damn I will be picking this one up if the deal comes back. I have saved the sellers store on ebay to watch for more updates

  • +2

Has anyone got their system from this deal yet?

    • Not yet! Hopefully it gets shipped this week.

    • Not yet, I've messaged techfast in a PM and they are yet to respond. I don't know where my package is either..

      • They have bee a little slow this week. Must be under the pump. I got a reply stating that my PC should be shipped next week.

  • Anyone else still on backorder? Ordered 19/2 and still waiting.

Was waiting on the GPU only. When they arrived they now said waiting on the CPU…

    • I got it on Jan 19

U might get a better you though cos I got a shitty Asus turbo

      • -1

I was told they gave me the Galax Dual Fan OC.

FYI Luke has messaged and given me some updates. Hopefully not much longer now.

I'll swap you my used GTX1070 for your 2080? :D

  • I've made a purchase throught ebay on 20 Dec, and it's almost 2 months now. Still haven't arrive yet :(

Have dropped a message to techfast on ebay to follow up

    • Mine arrived approx 2 weeks ago. I did ask for them to ship it disassembled so that may be why it shipped earlier.

      • damn that's a good idea to do that. Reduces damage possibility on shipping too.
