LIFX Z 2m LED Strip $103.50 at LIFX

100
LIFXVIP

Could try your luck price matching at Bunnings for another 10% off.

Which I guess would make them $93.15

David Jones currently have them for $97.49 I just noticed. Making them $87.74 at Bunnings with a match.

  • These do look good for the multi colour effects

    • They work really well. The ability to “paint” colors using the app and how they smoothed transitions between them is nice.

  • This is a nice set up but doesnt suit my kitchen unforunately

  • Do these need to be plugged to a power socket for each strip?

  • Can you actually buy them from David Jones? Their website has them but it isn’t possible to add them to a shopping cart.

    • No idea, but hopefully Bunnings don’t know that! 🤫

  • If you don't mind a bit of DIY a SK6812/WS2812B RGBW strip + ESP8266 + PSU would be way cheaper.

  • Um, you can get these on EBay for like $20. Maybe the App is superior, but that's a massive premium!

    • Yeah have to agree, when I saw the price. Over a $100 for LED strip. Must be a typo I thought.

  • I don't see why you would use the Life X over the Philips Hue which are currently $99 for 2m at most places and have been as low as $86.90 recently:

The Hue strips are brighter. The hue strips can also create a wider range of white lights thanks to their extra white LED. The Philips lights have a warm and cold white LED. The Life X ones only have a single white LED.

As others have said you can get no name RGB+W strips from Ebay for a lot less. I haven't seen a viable alternative to the Philips RGB+W+WW that didn't cost a similar amount yet.

    • Because you need a hub. And some people already have LIFX products and the app.

Bunnings matched and did them for $87. Expensive, yes. Cool? Hell yeah.

    • Also I’m pretty sure the Hue has less leds. Lifx has twice as many.

1,400 lumens vs 1,600 isn’t much different. And they’re used for atmosphere mostly which means you want it lower brightness anyway. Nevertheless LIFX is actually brighter. Check out reviews.

Plus LIFX is Australian. (Or started here anyway).
