This is pretty expensive for a DAB+ radio. You could buy an iPod touch for this price…
That said does anyone here actually listen to radio? (apart from in-car)
I bought a Pure Mini from Dick Smith a few weeks back when they had them on sale.
I probably wouldn't have bought one if not for having listened to a mate's one. Much improved sound quality and a headphone socket so I can feed it to a stereo/amp. Extra channels are actually quite good. Even the internal speaker sounds good. I'm not planning on using it 'portable' so didn't bother with a battery (was another $50).
Wake up to DAB+ radio, but the radio only cost me $70 a year ago.
This Roberts radio is an ugly and expensive piece. There are other digital radios at more attractive pricing, and the pricing keeps dropping.

You could buy a lot of things for $249 which are not DAB radios
C'mon mate - $249 for a freakin radio????? I know it has "digital" on it - but still, a radio
-2 neg without me
speaks volumes!
This may be cheap for that specific radio, but I still think that my $250 can be spent better elsewhere.
some of the higher end DAB+ radios are 400-500+, so 200 ain't that much.
There are always people who will pay a premium for the "style", but yes 250 is a lot when a Galaxy Tab is 360 and a iPod touch is 230.
Is this Roberts radio really stylish?
This OXX radio retails for $299 http://www.oxxdigital.com/au/?source=en and also includes WIFI, connect a mains inverter and its an attractive portable radio.
The HN close by is always happy to discount DAB+ radios so purchasing the OXX will be very competitive to this Roberts radio.
