return prices seem to have gone up to compensate.. u are looking at about $50 return from syd to bris.. which is slightly cheaper than usual, but nothing like the advertising would suggest of course, its still a reasonable deal tho
yeah return prices have definitely been jacked up, no doubt about it, normally u can get them for about $35 but $50 is the absolute minimum now, that has never previously been the case with tiger

then DO IT! I'd pay double whatever these jokers charge to fly with anyone else! Not that Jetstar are a lot better with regards to delays.. Found virgin to be the best of the domestic airlines IMO of course. But I fly a bit.
completely agree! tiger always cancels flights and bumps you to a later flight to fill the plane. Jetstar do this as well, but nearly as much. I always try and fly VB when I can… best domestic airline in AU easily.
Unfortunately I tried that the other day and they don't beat 1c fares! Quote from Jetstar customer service: "If it's a 1 cent fare then the tax is 1 cent and the fare is 0 cents. We can't beat 0 cents by 10%. Sorry"
Though it really would be amazing if we could use Jetstar price beat on these.

The craziest thing is that if they cancel your flight, their responsibility is limited to the refund of only 0.01 cent.
lol good point. That happened to me once, canceled my $2 SYD-MEL flight. I blamed myself for being cheap! Lucky they have like 8 flights a day on that route so you can get on another in the next hour or so.
