    Ok i gave it a shot.
    It says new customers only.
    But near the bottom it says existing customers is ok as long as you choose a new number.
    Paypal ok as well

    • I did this the last time. I chose a new number, followed the links, made sure it was active and it didn't come through. I emailed them to check and it got rejected saying i didn't activate the sim! This was for the $60 back for a $50 pre-paid. $50 mostly down the drain…I didn't even really need the sim. Beware!
      Sorry, i just realised mine was for ShopBack and not Cashrewards.

      • My shop back and amaysim was denied…..I challenged it and eventually got the credit.

  • Do these work? Do you need to cancel it after activation so they don't continue your service? Worth it for the $10 and the burner data second sim…

      Just disable auto-renew in your account setting after activation, you discard the SIM after 28days.

    • 1 - Yes.
      2 - Once your account is set up you can change your payment method to Bpay which will stop any ongoing costs.
      3 - The title says you make $10 (free money) so that seems like it's worth it.

    You're like betting $40 to get $10 extra but sometimes it doesn't go through and the $40 just goes to waste. Had multiple bad experiences with Cashrewards not registering the transaction when I clearly followed precautions (by turning off adblocker, etc).

      IF it does not go through, just lodge a claim with cashrewards. I often have missed transactions but never had problem with claims.

      Yup. Their last OVO deal did not track. I submitted a request for it to be added manually and they came back saying that I did not send proof of sale with an invoice number. The thing is OVO sent a payment receipt/tax invoice and there was NO order or invoice number. So up to you if you wish to take the gamble or not with this deal.

        Hi ttlooshan. Sorry to hear your OVO didn't track. I'm not going to make excuses for OVO because I'm now aware they don't provide an Order ID when they send out your SIM, which is a real pain in the proverbial for our claims. Please do me a favour and jump on a chat session with OVO and request it. Once you have this, respond to your ticket with the Order ID and the team will take care of it for you. Hope this is ok :)

          Well I spoke to soon. After 20 minutes on the chat. The manager has no clue either as he said this email with no order number is fine for cashrewards.

        Exact same scenario with me. I had even explained that there was no order number, and gave a copy of the receipt that I was sent plus my mobile number. That said, I was able to hop on chat and get the order number, but it was yet one more hoop to jump through. Had I known that only one out of four of the "make money with this sim" deals was going to be hassle free, I wouldn't have bothered with any (two were with Catch Connect, two with OVO; my wife's with OVO is the only one that tracked). And the two Catch Connect orders that didn't track were clicked through on the CashRewards app (on two separate phones, mine and my wife's). I thought that was the whole purpose of having the app?

        I remember a year or two ago, having similar issues when I jumped on one of those "we'll pay YOU to have prepaid service with us!" deals. Odd, because everything else (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Woolworths, etc.) have no issues tracking. It's only the cheap sim deals that give me fits.

        Not worth it, but I won't neg because…reasons?

        • Can I ask how you were able to get this form them? As I have been on the chat for the last 10 minutes and the person I am chatting with doesn't seem to have a clue what I am after. They are telling me to forward the original email from them to cashrewards! And they simply just transferred me to a manger??

          • @ttlooshan: I just said I needed the order number, and they gave it to me. Honestly it was easier than I thought.

            If it helps, it was a seven digit number starting with 4. Make sure you're logged into your account when you initiate chat, not sure if it matters since you have to give them your mobile number anyway, but I do remember being logged in and copy/pasting my mobile number into the chat form.

      Exactly my feelings.

      If you actually needed the 20 GB of mobile data and $40 was a worthwhile deal (i.e. $1 Kogan SIMs for 40 GB weren't a thing) then it might be worth taking the risk.

      But if you had to pay $40 to sign-up to those many bank deals to get $50, where we also don't typically get a receipt of proof, I don't think many people would bother.

    • Yes, I almost immediately see the cashback record, waiting to be finalised in 2 months though.

  • Just live chatted with them and there’s no way to have it NOT come preactivated. The only way is to buy from a retail store, which all of us certainly won’t as we won’t get the cash back

      Can't you port over an old number? That way it can't be sent preactivated.

      porting is safe - the number will only be ported across when you activate the sim after you've received it (otherwise you could be left without any mobile service while the new sim is being sent out)

    Didn't get paid from the last deal despite following instructions to a T.
    Also this reeks of a company with major cashflow issues at the moment (big injection of funds today, they don't have to worry about paying out for another 90 days)

      They (CashRewards) paid out for one of these telco deals when the provider pulled a dodgy on them as well from memory.
      That same MVNO (Yomojo) didn't have an option to remove auto-recharge from memory :|
      Lucky it was a small one, but can't recall their name..

      EDIT: Yomojo.

      Still got paid by CR though, not their fault that Yomojo was a flop of a company..

  • I bought a sim from the last deal(Shopback). That cashback is still pending though. Sim was activated/used and ran out od credit last night.

    Am I eligible for this one? I plan to take a new number.

    • Yeah I had an error too. Got errors with CC as well, though one of the attempted transactions tracked so I've basically missed out on the cashback because of the errors.

  • I ordered last night. Before ordering, I made sure no extensions (adblockers etc) were loaded in chrome. Logged into cashrewards, clicked through to deal, purchased the unlimited 20gb for $40 deal, paid with PayPal. Confirmation email from cash rewards came through within 5 minutes. happy days!
