Saw the Sphero Star Wars Droid line all listed as $99 at EBGames. Seems like normal pricing on tag but these were $299 on release and closest on Staticice is $139

My favourite StarWar was Attack of the Phantom Clones
something something looking for droids
My kids did the free hour of code at the Apple Store today and they used the Sphero balls plus this droid. This doesn’t go as fast as the sphero balls but it works well and the kids had a lot of fun programming it with Scratch.
EB Games also has the Sphero mini balls for $47 (RRP $78) but mostly sold out. I managed to price match at OfficeWorks and bought 4 of them for the kids for Christmas.
EB Games also has the BB8 for $99
The Sphero and other coding lessons are free at Apple. You just need an iCloud account to register. Thanks merill, a Christmas present sorted!
I bought i from Amazon US in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/418920, double check before you buy as Amazon may get stock again.
Can't comment on the robot yet as it won't be opened until the 25th ;)
Ooh they have R2-Q5 too!
Ahh, the Audi of R2 units.
Just picked up the R2D2 ($99) and BB8 ($77). BB8 was refurbished though (only 1 left now) as the new ones sold out. Fremantle WA.
They also had a really cool r2d2 coffee plunger, which I picked up for RRP $30 - which is still a less than online prices of at least USD$30 + shipping
BTW R2-D2 & BB-9E are available for $89.11 with 10% discount using PICKUP10 from their eBay store if you choose to click and collect. Further discounts if you use your discounted eBay giftcards too.
If not, you can purchase EB Games giftcards at 9% discount via Suncorp Benefits reducing the total down to $90.10.
Great price! The R2D2 Droid itself has very limited functionality, but good for collection or to use as a companion when watching those StarWar Movies
