5000/2000 POINTS for $70/$30 or More in One Shop at Woolworths

670
EXTRAPOINTS

received email from woolworths, from now until Sunday 09/12/18, Earn 5000 POINTS when you spend $70^ or more in one shop at Woolworths. OR Earn 2000 POINTS when you spend $30^ or more in one shop at Woolworths. Need to activate the offer if shop in store, for online order, just need to enter code EXTRAPOINTS when checkout with linked woolworths rewards card, targeted for the card holder who received the email.

5000 points equals $25, so it is one of best offers from Woolworths already, however you can combine it with other offers for better value, eg AMEX $10 off $40 spending online, or 5% discounted egift card, plus cashreward 2% cashback currently.

I also have a current offer to spend $100 or more in online orders to get a $20 coupon. so I planed to spend $70 + $40 on my two AMEX card, then get $25 in points, $20 coupon, $20 cashback from AMEX, and possible $2.2 from cash rewards($0.8 if the code not listed by cashreward), basically for $90 dollars I get $110 value of goods plus $45 for future spend at Woolworths.

  • Which one was the Amex offer?

  • +1

    Definitely targeted,
I got "you are not eligible for this promo"

    • Yes, I just logged on and it didn't even show me the offer! altho' I usually only go there if they've got a decent special going

    • A year ago I used to get promos like this for $30. After using this kind of promo and spending over $30 a couple of times, the promo emails had a minimum spend of $40. After spending just over $40 on a couple more shops, the promo emails now had a minimum spend of $50. Does Woolies keep upping the minimum spend on a person by person basis to get you upping your spend each time?

      • yep, thats spot on

I have a few woolworhts accounts, so get their offers all at the same time,

        generally, unused accounts are $50-$60,
        used accounts go from $60-$100

I ignore every offer thats above $50

for online order, just need to enter code EXTRAPOINTS when checkout with linked woolworths rewards card.

It didn't work for me, gives an error of "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion."

  • My email says 10% off shopping this weekend. This is for the card I use rarely.

    • i got this offer as i am a Woolworths car insurance customer

      • Yes you're right. Just checked and email is from woolworths insurance.

Yes, I got the email and also combined with AMEX offer. Bought $47 of groceries (half price specials of course) for effectively $27.

  • I got this offer via email, too although I am not a customer of Woolworth Insurance, FYI.

  • I've got the AMEX offer, more than happy to help anyone out if they don't have this.

NB: HURRY – THIS OFFER CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE BEFORE SUNDAY - ONLY ONCE! ONLY ONE - NOT BOTH!

Earn 5000 POINTS when you spend $70^ or more in one shop at Woolworths.

    OR

Earn 2000 POINTS when you spend $30^ or more in one shop at Woolworths.

I cant even use it once :(

  • Can you spend your points on Giftcards?

(I know you don't accumulate points from buying gift cards)

  • I got this offer, struggled to even spend $30 after a big ALDI shop the other day

  • woolies has put the price of weetbix up by 25%, they will get their discount back somehow, bastards!

  • This is misleading.
You are not eligible if you haven’t received and activated this offer. I tried and didn’t work. So, this part is definitely wrong:
“Need to activate the offer if shop in store, but for online order, just need to enter code EXTRAPOINTS when checkout with linked woolworths rewards card.”
Raised my hopes up and wasted my time 😠

  • just curious, does an opal top-up using a wish gift card count?

    • Excludes travel cards. Read the fine print.
