  • Great offer with Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Menulog included. Not on any of my cards yet, so thanks for direct link. This will cap out pretty quick!

  • +1

$10 off $40 Opal top-ups at Woolies for Sydneysiders then? 😏

Also, buy $40 gift card at Dan Murphy's, use at Woolies for Opal top-ups, so you could do $80 and save $20 …

    • +5

Yes, but it's also unclear whether the required spend is $40 (title) or $30 (fine print).

      • The T&Cs In-app says 40$ (And not 30$). So my bet is it’s 40$ spend to receive 10 back

      • Once saved to my card the fine print says $40 as well.

    • +4

Wait, I just realised the offer is Online only! Fail

So I guess it's just one $40 eGift card at Dan Murphy's

      • Can you use a Dan Murphy's card in woolies/opal top up? Do they work in woolies?

        • +2

Yes, as long as it starts with 6280 or something along those lines

          • @kerfuffle: T&Cs don't say the DM gift cards work at Woolies: https://help.danmurphys.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/36000004317…

            Has anyone tried?

            • +2

@virhlpool: Why do you always doubt people who have tried it before with success?

For the third or fourth time in this thread: As long as it starts with 6280, it'll work in Woolies

              • +1

@kerfuffle: Gotcha. I wasn't doubting anyone.. I was assuming that their T&Cs should have it mentioned. If I couldn't use it at Woolies, then it would have been a waste for me as I have no planned purchase from DM in near future.

                • +2

@virhlpool: Terms and conditions exist, but so do loopholes 😏

                  • @kerfuffle: Haha.. Thanking ya.

                    • +3

@virhlpool: I used the DMs card (which is a Wish card) at Woolworths today. It was bought because of this deal. $40 groceries only cost me $30.

      • Do the DM gift cards still work at Woolworth servos?

      • Does anyone have problem checking out on DM website? I put a $50 egift card to cart, tried to checkout on two different computers and mobiles but no luck.

        • If it isn't working now, try again later and let the support team know so they can fix it up

        • I had this problem and realised I was not filling in email address and message on the gift card details. When I clicked purchase the system took me to the end of transaction but then no further because some details above were not completed. So scroll all the way up and/or maybe make the size smaller to ensure you can see the entire form and all the details are filled in.

    • How you would do Opal Top at Woolies? I thought only online purchase is eligible.

      • At the same counter where you buy cigarettes or return stuff.. though Opal recharge is not available in all Woolies.

    • Thanks. $40 Dan Murphy's gift card.. online or in-store? Do they have specific $40 value card?

      • +2

You can only buy it online to get the $10 credit. You can set your own amount to $40

  • Thanks, was listed as an offer in the Amex app for me

  • T&Cs say:

Offer is limited to one credit per Card to which the offer is saved and only spend on this Card counts towards the Offer.

But title says you can use up to three times?

    • +1

Offer can be redeemed once from any three vendors of your choice from the five.

    • +2

T&cs no more than one credit per participating brand, at up to a maximum of three participating brands.

  • +2

Weird, for the first time I didn’t get a confirmation email when signing up using the manual link… Same for anyone else?

    • Same here. But is visible in-app or online as signed up.

    • Same here too

  • Targeted? I can't see this offer on my Explorer

    • Use the manual link.

    • Do it manually

      • Thanks, yes that works :)

      • +19

Doesn't work for me, once I submit it says "Sorry, this is by invitation only"

        • +1

          me too, im bummed

        • Damn, sorry to hear.
So looks like it really is noodles for you after not getting this offer.
          Username definitely checks out.

        • Got the same reply :(

        • Unfortunately this campaign is by invitation only. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers.
          :(

          • @AlexG: Got the same message too! :(

        • I wonder if it worked earlier in the day then they fixed it for accounts not targeted after a whole lot of ozbargainers got hold of the manual link?

  • Anyone else having trouble buying a digital gift card from Dan Murphy's? Each time I tap pay it scrolls me back to the top of the screen. I might have to try desktop instead of mobile…

    • no, but my second was 'randomly selected' for security check

      • Same. Yet there was hardly a delay. Weird.

      • same here

      • Mine has been randomly selected. I received invoice but still waiting for the card. Not sure how long it takes.

        • same here first card arrived but not the 2nd and 3rd. under randomly check…

    • +1
    • +4

try entering your card number rather than using one thats stored for your account..

      • So is it working for giftcards and if so is it triggered at $30 or $40?

        • +1

ive only done $40, but yes

          • @SBOB: Triggered the spend? Awesome!

            • +1

@nightelves: A $40 DM GC triggered the offer for me.

            • @nightelves: yep, triggered on all the GC's i bought this morning.
Tax invoices already received, just waiting on the gift cards now.

        • +1

The offer says in one or more transactions, so try with $30, if it doesn't work, do another transaction of $10

      • Thanks that worked.

    • Mine did because the saved credit card has expired.

  • +1

    Thank you forumninja!

  • Does it stack with CashRewards for Woolworths website?

  • Why does it say in the heading of this post and in the top of the amex website link: Spend $40 or more, get $10 back

but in the fine print it says: Spend $30 or more in-app or online at a participating brand to receive one $10 credit, with no more than one credit per participating brand, at up to a maximum of three participating brands. Offer valid in-app or online at Dan Murphy's, Event Cinemas, Menulog, THE ICONIC and Woolworths.

    • After saving the offer, the Amex app show the terms and conditions to say $40

      • Yet the confirmation emails also say $30…so consistent…

  • Did anyone receive email confirmation after registration?

    • +3

I didn't get the registration confirmation email but I could confirm I've got the offer in my online portal. Also after $40 Dan Murphy eGift Card purchase, I got the trigger confirmation email.

  • +1

I have the amex via westpac and I get the message

Unfortunately, this card is not eligible for this offer.

    • third time lucky. I manually typed each field rather than the auto fill and it worked.

      • I’m getting that message too. Tried phone and desktop with and without auto fill. No dice.

        I’ve got an Amex Explorer.

      • Tried this still did not work

    • +1

I have one through Westpac as well but this offer showed up in my Amex app. Maybe check there?

  • Has anyone tried this offer with getting a Wish Gift Card yet? Just wondering if it'll trigger the offer as I can't remember if the eGiftCard merchant is same as Woolworths…

    • I think the merchant is ‘everyday gift cards’ and not woolworths.

  • +1

    Thanks Ninja!

  • +1

Must be a misprint on the AMEX linked in the OP.

At the "OFFER TERMS" it says: "Spend $30 or more in-app or online at a participating brand to receive one $10 credit".

    Everywhere else it says $40!

  • +2

    Thanks forumninja :)
Fingers are hurting after typing in all the card numbers and saving the offers to my cards :)

    • You do know you can do it on the smartphone and have it scan the number right?

      • I didn't know there was a way to scan the card numbers to save offers?

        • If you’re using an iphone you need to enable that function through here:
Settings -> Privacy -> Camera -> Safari (OFF button)

          • @nightelves: Safari isn’t an option in the camera menu?

            • @twodollah: if you tap on the credit card text field in Safari, a pop up from the bottom should automatically appear with an option to either auto fill or scan your CC.

          • @nightelves: So you mean you can scan a card, and it'll input the card numbers, expiry and CVV into the online form to register the card?

            • +1

@MathNerd: If you do settings—>safari—>autofill—>saved credit cards you should be able to preload them in.

              • @nightelves: I see, thanks. I'm an Android user so may have to experiment with a similar feature. I do like typing in all the card numbers from memory though, it's quite thrilling.

                Ah, the OzBargain life.

                • @MathNerd: It won't input the CVV but everything else it will.

  • Does anyone know where it is possible to buy gift cards?

    • +4

      dan murphys.
they are wish cards, so work at all the woolworth based locations.

      • I'm just shopping on the DM site and it's only showing DM cards, to be used online or in DM stores nationwide.

No selection or option for WISH CARDS.

        Anyone else able to confirm?

        • +5

As long as it starts with 6280, you can use them at Woolies

  • +1

I guess this Event Cinemas offer will also trigger $10 return…

    • Mmm that is a Telstra offer so not sure if you will get the offer. Worth a try though if you are buying them anyway. Let me know if it does work, I would be keen to double stack.

      • +5

Well it triggered for me :) so 10 tics for $80 not bad…

        • Oh man, I am so tempted to do this now haha. What does the transaction show as the business?

        • -1

What’s the expiry date of the vouchers please

          • @SydOzber: You didn't see the clearly printed expiry date when you clicked on the provided link?

  • anyone has problem ordering digital giftcard from dan murphy? keep saying

Digital gift cards will be sent via email / MMS and cannot be collected in-store.

    • That’s a default message. I just ordered one and had no problems. Just waiting for the delivery of the eGift Card

      One down, two to go!
