To the shopback rep - your chrome plugin doesn't seem to respond like the cashrewards one does.

With the cashrewards plugin when you activate the cashback, then go through with your purchase on the site you can always click the little plugin and it gives you a status such as "cashrewards active", and it's a good way to make sure that you've done it correctly. The Shopback one just kept telling me to activate the 10%.

    • Mine works fine, have you contacted tech support?

    • I had this same issue when trying to buy something of Joybuy the other day.

    • Hey exc3113nce,

Thanks for the feedback. It works okay for us but we're wondering what browser you're using, and what stores you're having issues with the plugin.

Chrome (latest version with all ad blocking disabled) and Amazon.

When I login to my account it shows my clicks, the plugin little box that shows when you click the icon just didn't update to say "tracking activated" when I clicked it again. If that makes sense.

  • Oh no, the capped cashbacks begin

    Cashrewards don't have a cap

    • So max savings of $5 for items over $50. It was as of 4pm and 12am yesterday that Amazon had the 10% through Cashrewards. Back to 5% at the moment.

Pretty sure it means the cashback itself is capped at 50, not the purchase.

Meaning to maximize cashback, one would place an order of $550 ($500+10% GST). Since cashback is calculated on pre-GST price, it would be eligible for the capped $50 (10% of pre-GST: $500).

        Happy to be corrected :)

        • Spot on EVA-01 :)

  • Cap lol

  • Mobile browser is OK?

    • Yes mobile browser is okay.

  • Does pre-order count?

Only if the item ships within 60 days.

      • Great! Gonna order the SSBU then!

Haven't had the best experience with Shopback. Three purchases across eBay and Amazon four months ago, still pending. Contacted support twice with no response.

    • Hi MiCCAS, unfortunately the purchases for eBay and Amazon will stay pending until they themselves are able to validate your transaction for us (confirming your order hasn't been cancelled, returned, exchanged etc). As for support, if you could PM your ticket number(s)/ShopBack email address we'll be more than happy to chase your queries up.

      • Not questioning where the fault lies, but when I'm able to use competitor cashback services that have never caused me fault, and seem to have solved the challenge of validation, it makes me question the reason I'd use Shopback again.

Is the $50 cap per transaction, per day, per account or other ?

    • Hey Gabster3,

      This was per transaction.
