From what I have read, I believe the only noticeable differences between the B8 & the C8 are the processor spec and the stand with the same panel and WebOS

This is literally the opening salvo in Australia, there will be a price cut again, and then a clearance run.
I'm not recommending you buy this model due to it being an interim step between HDMI 2.0b and HDMI 2.1, but it will go down in price further.
Myer was selling their B8's for under $1400. Needless to say they sold out quick. So yes they will get cheaper.
Also cannot do HDR at 120 fps.
Colour accuracy and some postprocessing passes suffer as a result of the weaker chip, though that may not be as dramatic as once thought.
If you're going to be watching a lot of HD and SD content, check a review to get a better idea of how this chip resolves that.
Not familiar with the B8 don't recall ever seeing it before
Yeah, the B models took a long time to reach our market this year.
Note that unlike past years there are real differences between the B and C models - the B7 and C7 had only minor/cosmetic differences, whereas the B8 has a weaker processing chipset than the C8.
