    Win10 Home? Are they serious?

What do you expect from a 'budget' laptop?

      • I suppose it's only $110 to upgrade…

Won't matter if you're not a small business. I'd rather they spend said money on a better graphics card.

Top performance laptop at a top price :)

  • XD

  • 1050Ti is laughable for almost 4,000 AUD laptop.

It’s not a gaming machine. This is machine is targeted at performance users.

Its main competitor is a MacBook Pro.

      • +1

You realize that performance user also take the best graphic option available if their work require it. Macbook Pro with Vega 20 on 4 GB HBM is a better option if spending this much or more.

  • wish i could afford this

    • You can with a credit card.

    So this or 4 desktops?

Shame it has great specs and a budget gtx card with no upgrade option.

  • Only 4gb of ram….needs 8gb.

    No wait…..

    :)

  • i9!! Must be a beast!

  • Does it come with a car?

  • Laptop gets overheated quickly.

  • asus should revamp their Zephyrus with 9th gen i7 + old gtx 1080

  • I prefer Dell but at least Lenovo lets you configure 32GB of RAM without paying for the i9 CPU.

  • I guess this is a bargain because you'll save on your heating bill in the winter months.

I was deciding between this and the Lenovo p51 -
I went with the lenovo because -

3 year warranty on all parts/service (dell was 1 year)
Several reviews on the i9 make a point to say they throttling horribly
you can add more ram/SSD at a later date (dell apparently are very hard to do)
Options for Graphics card are better suited for me (k2000 for architecture modeling)

and at the moment with the 12% shopback and lenovo are running 20/30% off comes down to $3500 for a $5000 + machine.
They said four weeks for delivery though.

    just a thought anyway

Its a great laptop(I am a programmer) but Dell is trying to scam you with the price drop. I brought the laptop recently and planning to get another one for my relative. Been monitoring the price for last 2 months or so… they been increasing it steadily… now I understand why. I believe it will drop more at a later time. I bought it for 3.7K with Windows 10 pro and 2 years Support plus.
