I'm always a bit suspicious when a post gets a bunch of positives, without any comments to explain them. I'm certainly not accusing this rep in particular of anything, but hypothetically is there anything to stop a rep from just using a bunch of different IP addresses to upvote his/her own post?

I suppose this was come down to a reputation built on Oz-Bargain with previous deals posted!

Well, you can view all of the votes on any post by clicking on the "votes" tab near the title. From there you can see who voted, and find out how long they've been here.

Only one that raises any alarm is the recent member who has no posts or comments.

ah, sometimes, i just see a good deal which is very clear, but have no intention to buy it or no questions needed, so i just click the + sign and didnt write anything here..
        apologies

          Same here.

I'm one of those ghosts who roam around Ozbargain everyday, but hardly leave comments.
However, when there's a good bargain posted by someone, I want to recognise its worth and reward(?) the person who took time to write the post by clicking +.
I assume some people - including me - just don't want to talk much?

Well, of course, sometimes suspicious attempts could be made I guess.

also, i use + sign to "marked" the deal i want to follow…
kind of bookmarking.. then later i can click on my username, and click "deal i voted" something like that..

        • +1

You can also use the "Subscribe" option under the deal to follow (regardless of vote). Then just check "Subscriptions" when you look at your profile.

        • Thanks daydream. I was wondering how to follow a deal

  • Try putting the actual price first. Stop putting a low number first for what is "OFF".

$179 for a nokia? i rather buy a low end android phone

    • +2

agree, nokia used to be good but now sucks meatballs

      • I reckon it's a decent deal.

Last week my friend was trying to get a second-hand E71 from eBay.

Some of them ended up with $120 plus extra $16 delivery fee.

Another bid was marked as almost brand-new, $150, though all were Black-steel.

$180 for a crappy nokia is ridiculous. Buy a low-end Android phone in this price range.

    • +2

Why neg the deal based on personal OS preference? Customers in the market for a Nokia are getting a genuine deal

      • May I please ask you what kind of languages does E71 support apart from English?

The battery of iPhone is really annoying, I might need to get one E71 as a backup.

  • +2

Regardless of Nokia's recent reputation dive, the E71 is a good solid all round phone.
For the price of "$179" inc express delivery it is a true bargain.
+A big plus from me.+ Thanks Unique Mobiles.
If I didn't have an unreliable damn android phone on contract I would jump at this in a blink.

  • I bought one on ebay brand new for $120 a few months ago

  • I bought this for $540 when it came out! It's a great phone.
