You obviously have never been. Best money you will ever spend. Even without kids. On a more helpful note, go the 10 day park hopper. Only available in Australian travel agents. Around $400 i think.
That 400 is for kids. For adults it's more around 600+ when I booked last year.
LOL, so $2000 for a family of four to go to Disneyland… I don't think so…
Currently $510. $50 a day is awesome value for two parks that are open up to 16 hours a day depending on season. If you have never been, you should spend the extra You wont regret it.
